I want to know if i need the mastery on him.
never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

Yeah he is, but for ranked gods like fen, Hun, merc are picked more often (when it comes to jungle). So I wouldn't focus on getting him before any of them at least :)

I did the guys like thor, merc, fen, ne etc. Already. The only junglers i still need are hun, than, bastet, arachne and kali. So i guess fml because i hate thanatos. He just doesn't fit my style.

Thanatos is considered very very good, in the words of DMBrandon, in response to "Why thanatos so much?", he replied "Because this is ranked dude, and I want to win. Thanatos every day"

Thanatos has the ability to effectively guarantee a death on a carry or mage. If they use aegis, congrats, now you just wait for them to come out and 3+1+AA combo.

Not to mention, his built in sustain makes him able to take very odd item paths for a jungler, and his immense speed lets him get in lane before he's even seen. His only downfall is lack of jump, and lack of CC, so laners that have CC to let him get to his target let him synergize very well.

so he is like bakasura that he is so good because he has a ton of super damage low cc.

well i got his mastery yesterday by going 19-3-11 and i like him a bit better now.

Because there's a system called 'masteries' in League of Legends, similar to talent points. They're accessibly to all champions, because they're chosen before the match, and provide small bonuses. You have 30 points to spend in 3 trees (offense, defense, utility), so seeing things like 21/9/0 is common.
