The problem with her ultimate is that the range and damage turn it from what sounds like a balanced defensive tool on paper into terrifying offensive tool, simply because you can use it from the standard range of engagement for ADCs.

That, plus the dash. Your assessment of the dash was a bit off the mark.

There are essentially no cons. If you're using it properly, you aren't going to use it to put yourself out of position like an idiot (if you use it as an escape, the damage doesn't apply, just as how if you use it for damage right, the whole "out of position" thing doesn't apply). The bodyblocking means nothing, since it moves so fast, its easy to hit the right target, sorta like an Agni dash. Or in other words, it's pretty much the best dash for an ADC in the game due to how efficient and versatile it is, because sometimes, simplicity is best.

The dash combined with the ultimate gives Medusa an enormous effective range. If you want to give counterplay to Medusa, you either completely gut her damage and turn her into a walking ult/autoattacker, or you shorten or rework the dash length AND shorten her ult range.

Cassiopedia from LoL has pretty much the exact same ultimate, only with less damage and CC if you fail the primary condition. It's balanced due to Cass's lack of effective range due to her lack of mobility, a problem that Medusa does not have. And before you ask, since you have to click away from Cassiopeia to "turn around," the whole "can't target Medusa" problem still applies in top down MOBAs.

Her passive is actually pretty damn orignal, her venom spray is incredibly boring, and her DoT would be interesting if the DoT did anything but pure damage - it's pretty much only going to be an auto steroid late game with a minor damage DoT. (DoT with three stacks does 135%, a single autoattack crit does more even without DB.)

Actually playing her the Ult isn't always so easy to land. It's somewhat like a mobile Noobis ult minus the root and plus a stun.

Overall I have to say her best feature is her 3+1. That heal reduction/poison combo is absolutely brutal.

use her ult more like a janus ult activate it where no one can see it (so in the jungle) and just before it goes of go into the lane and they will be hit before they get the chance to look away. (janus can stay in the jungle when ulting but if it comes through a wall and you don't expect it you have to little time to react.

And in a teamfight it's a lot more easy get Athena to taunt most of them ore let ymir stun them in place when they face you and it's almost guaranteed hit on most of their team.

Also goobis ult is IMO not that hard to land (only the full duration because they can walk out of it's range)

Regarding Sub,

Your take on the ultimate is dead on, yes. It's truly terrifying to play aginst.

Yes, the dash is very strong, very annoying, and gives her an insane effective range.

My problem with it, when I say easy to bodyblock, is, if she's surrounded by enemies, there's no way out for her.

When someone is surrounded, there are plenty of gods who can still get out. Apollo, Anhur, Vamana, Odin, and the list goes on forever. Medusa will not be able to dash out, because she will instantly strike an enemy god, and the dash will be canceled.

Whether it's the best ADC dash, well, it very might well be, but it isn't flawless.

The 1, while most likely not outdamaging AA's, still hits for about 900 late game.

Venom Spray, honestly, is annoying, as she gets waveclear, poke, and harass all in one ability.

Is Medusa broken? **** yes. But the cons are there regardless.

Well, Viper Shot is getting a heavy nerf next patch and Lacerate's damage is no longer absurd early game.

I really enjoy playing as her (I have a soft spot for ADC hyper carries) and maybe it's my biasness talking, but I don't really find her that OP. She is still in need of a nerf of course, but I really don't find her that hard to deal with. I do think that the Viper Shot nerf was a bit too harsh and to be honest, Viper Shot was the last thing that needed a nerf.

I really like the changes RazeMage suggested. It is kind of awkward that they assigned the healing reduction to her dash, Viper Shot makes more sense. The changes to Acid Spray and the reset on kill/assist on Lacerate helps make her more of the hyper carry that she is. I also really like the changes to Petrify.
