The real question is: Is balancing our top priority, or is it change? Because Balance is not the worst issue in Smite right now.

The meta is stale. Roles are lopsided. God designs are repetitive. Itemization is ****. Counter play is absent. Even if Smite's gods were perfectly balanced, I would still not want to play.

Because let me tell you, if you wanted to balance the game, all it would take is a few number changes. Is that what you want? Or something more?

More, Way more. I want smite to be fun, good and balanced. Sure, It will take alot of time to actually do something major or rework the game like you say and it would require alot of effort, But it's worth it.

Except if we want to change the game, we're probably not going to get much support. Let's face it pros and casuals alike love most, if not all, of the gods in this game and frankly, so do I. I don't care that Ullr may be a mish mash of hunter kits, or that Loki is just a stealth assassin just like every MOBA has. At the end of the day, I still like playing the gods as they are, and apparently so do millions of other people, or SMITE wouldn't have such a huge, and ever expanding, playerbase. What people want is balancing. They don't want hunters to have the options of powerful items. They want gods like Thanatos and Odin to be viable outside of the early game. They don't want a lot of OP and UP gods. Of course, some gods are to remain dominant and some are to underperform because then we wouldn't have a meta, but the SMITE community doesn't really want 12 gods to be in S tier and 8 to be in C or D tier. So, if we just stick to balancing and just replacing the numbers, I think we'll have much bigger support. Of course, that's just my opinion among the other 5 million players, so idk what you guys wanna do.
