New solo master complaints?

I haven't seen many threads or complaints, which makes me wonder if I am misunderstanding something.

In the new solo master, you can't queue up a god unless you have at least 50 worshippers. Is this not going to severely hurt ranked play? The first time I was ranked I was viciously belittled (lol) for not having the god pack and not being able to select fenrir for someone (i never really jungle). Since then ive bought the god pack.

But now, when you queue up a solo master you are going to have to hope you are lucky enough to get a team that can actually queue a good team. And if your team wants the first pick of, lets say Agni, and the first person doesn't have 50 worshippers...yer team loses out.

I have seen some complaints about the timer since now it takes way longer to discuss team composition and who can select what.

Regardless, I am not looking forward to having to go back and farm every god. Though god rank 1 on each god was a goal of mine, I was finding it tedious and unfair to teammates who are stuck dealing with me playing a new god.

The Solo Master queue is not meant for new players to begin with, and I think that this queue can actually be what a lot of people wanted. Here you will be facing more experienced players than you mostly would in normal, you'll also have something to aim for (referring to the top 200 ranking system), and in here you won't be seeing any "If you feed, you'll get reported by me and my two friends" in the chat. Plus it has, in my opinion, a good feeling between the normal and the ranked queue which makes it special.

Also, I have never ever seen anyone threaten people with reporting them for feeding before a game, and I've never heard of anyone else having seen that either. Pretty sure that's a rarity.

you need twelfe gods with 50 worshippers which doens't take long to get. about 5 concuest matches each.

never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

That's not the problem. The problem is that you need the right ones. There are a lot of gods that crop up in ranked fairly often, and if you lack one of them then you can't pick them for your team. What if you specialize in three roles and now someone wants a god in a role you don't care for? Or what happens if the junglers you've got covered are Ne Zha, Thor, Hun Batz and Fenrir and then someone requests Tyr? This is really gonna limit people's ability to pick for their team unless they make the effort to get all remotely relevant gods in ranked to adept rank.

Well, it's safer that way I assume. People don't want their allies to be inexperienced with what they are playing, and I can understand that. This way, people who wish to try out new gods will be able to, and the people who do not wish to play with new players shouldn't have to. If you're not into ranked or competitive gaming in general, I suggest that you don't try this out, as it will most likely be a little harder than the usual queue. :)

EDIT: And the ones who are into competitive gaming here on Smite should already have reached this amount by now, as the mastery system has been around for quite some time now.

And on that note, im less concerned with not getting the god I want and more concerned with the hostile ****ish behaviour that this is going to cause.

Starting out a new game with three people complaining at the fourth for not having a certain god is a horrible way to start a game.

Christ, are you serious? What kind of ******* would do that? (I haven't seen anything like that in SMITE. LoL, on the other hand...)

Alright. So what happens when you have athena and sobek. Both are banned. You have first pic and your team tells you to get bacchus. Ooops, you don't have bacchus so you can't get it for your teams tank.

The gods are not always picked in order. And there seems to be a lot of strategy behind choosing gods. This is now very confusing because in addition to asking someone to pick a god, you have to hope they CAN pick it.

I just foresee its going to create a lot of hostile and angry people as they rage against anyone who can't select the god they want....much like ive already seen against people without the god pack.
