To be good with Janus, you need to master his portals, which require a different kind of thinking.

Okok so wait... If ares pulls 5 people and you put a portal under him... Will they all fall through?

And then there is the thing that if you hit a neith with your 2 while she leaps will it hit her pre and post leap?

I personally can't wait to co-ordinate ganks with my bro's with this ult... All 5 of us wait for my ult to give us passage to penta.

Good job Hi-rez! I literarily love everything about this god!
I love his appearance, personality (English butler), his jokes and his VGS ([VVGO]Oopsy Daisy!).
I love his losing and winning scene.
I love his kit, his skills and his ultimate is amazing. I also seems pretty balanced (maybe reduce his damage a bit and he is probably fine)

Posted this on the official forums but i'll quote it here:

I played around with him for a bit on PTS.
He's pretty fun to play, but as someone else mentioned, I think he's going to have a really high skill cap.
You need to try and land all your skills in order to succesfully kill someone, and if your abilities end up on cooldown without a proper kill, you'll be easy bait.
You don't really have an escape, apart from warping through a wall, which you have to be lucky enough to be able to reach to begin with.
Ontop of that, anyone with a jump can stil catch up on you.
His skills actually have a cast time, while short, his ground portal is pretty small and easy to miss.
If you cast it on underneath someone who is moving, you will miss, so you have to anticipate movement.
He's going to be high risk high reward.
I kinda see him as the Ne Zha of mages.

I think while a lot of people excited, will end up realizing that Janus is not for them, and that he isn't as great as you'd think.
The only thing that might get slapped around with the nerf bat is his ulti.
Not the damage but the portal distance most likely.
If used properly in conquest, you can pretty much abuse it.

Arena wise though, he's just going to be another glass cannon.
I'm planning to try and master him, but it's going to require a lot of practice to be good with him.
