Of course if you got rid of boots, you'd need to rework smite's itemization and balancing because any god with 6 items (not including boots) late game would need to be balanced differently due to that 1 extra item, ADCs especially. While that's not incredibly easy, it's also not incredibly hard, just rework stats so that everyone is still balanced by late game.

Removal of boots and then standardising movement speed will be a nerf to mobility creep, which is abundant within Smite. It's a good change that will give validity to playing an immobile, squishy character in lane without running huge risks.

gotta say why the **** are they nerfing wards. yeah to change the warding game. even with this change it won't change that much. and they are vague about the max amount of wards (because it was 3 but it always was 2 normal and a sentry so now it has become 1 normal 1 sentry?)

I'm just sad it got pushed back a week. Now I don't have time the make my guide for Ravana :(

But in all seriousness, I think it'll be an interesting patch. I won't be able to play it until a week later, but I'll be watching r/smite like a hawk.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
