Mythological gods/goddesses in a MOBA game.

Always loved Greek and Egyptian mythology growing up, so the concept instantly grasped my attention and still has a hold on it with the concept.

I think the biggest thing is its perspective. You could argue that Smite wasn't the very first MOBA to use a third-person point of view, but it was definitely one of the first and capitalized well on it. To me, it really feels like a completely different game than MOBA's such as LoL, DOTA 2, and Dawngate. I can enjoy a game or two of isometric MOBA's every once in a while, but they just can't hold my attention like Smite does.

Probably how well it captures the mythological theme (better than any other game I know) and the execution of the third person element.

Yeah, the mythological aspect is very cool, to know that these are actual mythological figures you're playing as. For some of my favorite gods, it's actually incited me to google their name and learn a bit more about them in mythology.

His leap is a generic leap.

His arrow is just like every other "pierce everything undodgeable 'skill'shot."

His melee/ranged bit is also unoriginal, and pointless, since he's always ranged when basic attacking.

His axe throw is just Anhur's thing with no knockback.

He's literally every other ADC mashed into one.

And if you think his melee form works well with his ranged form, you are the dumbest person I have ever met besides Arka. You NEVER use melee basics 99% of the time, you ALWAYS use axe form to either escape with 2/3 spam, or stun someone before swapping to ranged form. He is not an assassin, either. His melee form is meaningless except a way to slap on more skills to his ranged form.

Christ, can't we have a discussion without someone coming in and inevitably throwing a thread off course?
