Some of you guys with a few gods Or the god pack. Do you think it's better to be more experienced with a few number of gods like 3-5, or spreading out your choices with all of them?

First spread out for a general knowledge of every god. (Knowing all there is to a god is also knowing all there is to countering that god).

After that specialize in whatevcr you like. Obviously becoming a specialist on every god is ideal. But pretty much everyone has a preference.
That's just my 2 cents.

I heavily agree with Thiel in this thread. You need to know how each god works, and how you FAIL at the god, to know how to make OTHERS fail through countering.

For example, if you keep getting repeatedly ganked on Artemis, you realize she's easy to gank, and you can take advantage of that when laning against her or jungling.

This is why I believe League of Legends is so hard to get into. It's not learning how to use skillshots or targeted abilities, or knowing how to micromanage, or knowing how to use the bushes well, it's knowing how EVERY SINGLE ONE of the 116 (I believe) gods work.

So learning how every god works is essential to knowing what to do against them, even if you aren't an expert in the field.

Then, I'd learn to master 1 god in each role, and heavily know 2 backup gods. This way, you're versatile enough to fit in with any team comp, can play extraordinarily even if you get stuck in a role, and are prepared for Ranked when your favorite god may be banned.

Yeah, you should definitely play different gods until you understand the game. Then focus on a few amount of gods (playing Support and mid is probably the best way to learn how to play the game).

It's extremely important to know what every god can do, but that doesn't mean you have to be able to do it yourself, so I believe that specializing yourself with a select few gods is better than being well-rounded. After all, what good is knowing what to counter if you can't actually counter it? You gain more experience in countering specific gods by playing against them, not as them.

Get all your masteries so you can trade in ranked, though. :P

Said it perfect. I'm currently in the process of trying to learn every god. I pretty much know what all of them do, but I'm trying to actually have a basic understanding of actually playing them, especially since I love playing Assault. There are a few gods that I play a lot better than others, and plan on stacking on with that after I get a basic understanding of them all based on who works best for me. I think there are only a few gods left that I've never played in an actual match outside of practice.
