Okay I want to slap a baby with what I just seen on my laptop screen today.

Okay so I just asked my mom about 15 mintues ago to go buy me "Ultimate Game Card" so I can buy 800 gems from smite store. I gave her 50 bucks for food and other ****.

Anyways, me and my brother were gonna play smite and when I logged in it said
"Suspended for Griefing " I have to wait 59 mother freaking hours to play smite and use my damn card now over some bs nerd who probably reported me because he got owned in a match or was a nub.

What the hell is griefing in smite?
I think this is total BS especially since I just went to spend more money on the game they just suspended me from.

I totally bet that I got suspended over nubs that report ever everything. I won't be surprised if I got reported because someone wanted to surrender and I choose not to quit.

What the hell is griefing because if I just got troll reported and they actually fed the trolls I'm about to be seriously done with smite.

Well, it happens. I had a friend that was banned for match griefing as well, for two weeks. He still plays the game.

It's fine. I know sometimes we rage hard, specially you ICEN, but we have to deal with it and keep going. I'd recommend you to find a team to play together, so you can stop raging at randoms and improve your experience on SMITE.

Griefing is usually considered to be any action that can cause your own teammates grief.

Usually, intentional feeding is the most obvious form of griefing, as you are purposely giving your enemy free gold and experience to make it harder for your team to win. There are, however, many other ways to grief that don't involve feeding.

Using you skills in a way that is detrimental to your own team is considered grief play. For examples, using Odin's Ring of Spears or Ymir's Ice Wall to trap your own teammates to get them killed. Or maybe you Banished a target that you teammate was just about to ult, and you ended up saving your enemy's life. Even simply bodyblocking your own allies when they need to get past you... basically, any action that could be considered assisting the enemy team would be griefing.

Queue dodging repeatedly in the match lobby is also technically griefing as you are denying nine other players a match and forcing them to wait in queue for many more minutes. This is a reportable offense if you are doing it on purpose repeatedly just to avoid playing with certain players or team comps.
Waiting on a good new MOBA, please.

Reminds me of the time three friends and I got banned for griefing - in arena, we all picked AoE gods and stayed in the base to kill the minion waves. There was one random there that raged about two minutes into the game, calling us "******ed ****s" or something. We never even said anything, so it has nothing to do with harassment I guess. We ended up getting banned like, right after the game lol.

I kinda think you deserved it, even if it is a legit strategy xD

Yeah, I would argue it's a legit strategy but I know it was abusing game mechanics was clearly not how arena was intended to be played. Didn't help that it was on Bart's stream too lol.

Edit: Honestly I'm glad we ended up losing pretty badly. If we had coordinated better we could've won and I think that would've resulted in a permanent ban - show over 1000 people how to "cheat" in arena... not too smart :P

Griefing refers to BM (Bad manners), where you in a way or another behave like a jerk, either by cursing or by frequently complaining on others. It could also sometimes refer to not playing the game properly and refuse to assist your teammates, worth saying though is that breaking the meta is not griefing. A good example was the kid who got arrested not long ago for being a bother, saying things that clearly wasn't necessary at all. Even though you all say "but man, he was just joking", it's still not the right way you behave in a child game.
So yeah, to use short words, griefing means being a bother for others, both for allies and enemies.

Your argument is invalid. There's no minimum age limit on the game, and it's not needed either. People just have to behave properly instead of acting like 10 year olds once they don't get what they want, refering to "NOOB DO THIS OR I REPORT YOU".

Not invalid. Putting an age limit is very easy to do on any game following the guide lines of pegi's or the rating they use in america. Also children of 10 realy ya realy think it's a good idea to let them play a moba or another game where If your not doing good you get called the most horrible thing's god forbid? You realy think it's good idea because I don't nor would I let my children of 10 If I had them play them. And people should in deed not be complete idiots and act normal. One probleme THEY WILL BE IDIOTS that is just part of these kinds of games.
Not you not anyone can change that. Why because w probebly did it to at one point or another even If it was just out of frustration not to troll or to rage because we can.

People will be dumb no matter what age they are. But I would not let my children play these kind of games until there 15 and If I an 100% sure they can act mature enough. Until than they will have to make do with what ever as long as I say it's ok for them.
