Im thinking about taking a break from smite until the server issues are addressed....
playing on N/A servers is hard enough with 240 to 290 ping from Australia but now with me getting E/U severs 60% of the time with 350 to 380 ping is down right frustrating.

i know that hi-rez is announcing something about servers at gamescom, but that is just what it is.. an announcement who knows how long it will be until they implement the servers.

on top of that its not even guaranteed that there will be any au servers although hopefully west coast N/A servers will be a massive improvement, might even bring ping under 200 (i can only hope)

i love this game and i really don't want to stop playing but being half a second behind is horrible especially when you cant dodge a simple spirit arrow or similar abilities (it hits you even though see you're self a meter away from it) and then get smashed with BM like ppl calling me a scrub or noob even though its not my lack of skill its just a time delay :(

im still going to play from time to time and patch to patch just to keep up with things. i just want to avoid getting frustrated and hating the game because of it.

I don't really get how you guys are getting this much problems? I don't get that type of lag?

I get lag as in sometimes it will make everyone look as if they are moving strait for about 1-2 seconds then the game unlags and you will be telaported to where ever you were moving.

But I don't get lag as in to where when you use lets say impale it comes out 1 second late?

I actually never see anyone like drybear get this when I watch his videos?

The only lag I ever see if like a .3 second lag. You can tell your basic attack from a mage comes out late but its not late enough to make you miss everything because to mee that type of lag fixes it self sometimes.

IDK am I lucky or something?

I watch drybears videos all the type and I never see him or others have this super bad laggy stuff happen? I only see them get like a super slight .3 sec lag which then refixes it self it seems most the time.

I only get that telaportish lag which makes me madder than that other lag

I feel bad for everyone playing this game in Australia (had a friend from Australia who played before, but he stopped as well) :P

Hopefully you'll get some servers soon :)

How really? I played in Asia and always have 200-300 or 300-400 and even 400-500 when it is bad or until above 900 when raining. If it is laggy, I shot, turn around, and shoot again and then the attack was behind me. If I was walking when laggy, I walked, get back at around 2 s before, take damage, turn around, suddenly dead :P

I'm from Australian, and I honestly don't have that bad of lag. Probably just my location I suppose.

That's not totally correct. I'm from Indonesia and my father said if it is from Australia, there is no difference in connection since my country and yours didn't make Internet deal (my father is have connection and Internet job) so if I want to connect to Australia server, I must first connect to NA server then to Ausie which is even longer (talking about Australia makes me sad coz I was sick when my school have school trip there)
