The Diamond Hel does look pretty cool, and I imagine it would look great for some, like Thanatos.

When it comes down to it, I think they'll look better than the gold and probably legendary skins for most.

I did just read, however, that you won't be able to earn legendary skins anymore, either. All three (gold, legendary, and diamond) will be separate purchases from now on. If you already own a legendary skin, obviously, you keep it, but any after that, you will have to pay for them as well.

However, because you have to purchase these skin separately, from what some people are saying, you can skip tiers, meaning you don't have to buy the gold and legendary skin to be able to purchase the diamond skin. Just have to be rank 10 and have the favor.

The best thing to do is get as many masteries as you can before Tuesday!

If you own the Gold skin and you are Mastery Level 10 prior to the patch date, then you get the Diamond skin for free (and the Legendary skin).

If you own the Gold skin and you are Mastery Level 5 prior to the patch date, then you get the Legendary skin for free but will have to pay Favor or Gems for the Diamond skin when you reach Mastery Level 10.

This is all from jpphf on Reddit, who's usually good with these types of things. Most is what I already said, but put together a little more nicely:

Some info they talked about:
  • All 3 skins (gold/legendary/diamond) are separate purchases, meaning each one costs 15000 favor/400 gems
  • You can buy any of them without ever buying the other ones if you want
  • Diamond skins have different loading screen cards
  • If people have the gold skin for a god and rank 5+ on them before the patch, they'll get the legendary skin for free
  • Same for people that have rank 10; you'll get the diamond skin for free. Only if you have it before the patch tho and gotta have gold skin!
  • Also, for those that still don't know/are not sure, emotes are a treasure chest exclusive that comes in a bundle, meaning you'll get all the emotes of that god and not just the dance one or clap one

Yes that means I get Diamond Hercules, Diamond Anhur and Diamond Anubis?

So since I am rank 10 with all three of those gods and have the legendary skin does that mean I get the Diamond skins free?

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
