More specifically a lifesteal/attack speed build.

I'm really not sure... I feel like it's ALWAYS needed. But I also feel like it's possible not to build it. Especially in an assassin build. Someone help?

In a fight where penetration is more important than health shred. If their team is generally tanky (say the ADC got voidblade for some reason, or more likely, their mid got Breastplate of Valor, with a bruiser solo lane and jungle), you don't have enough health to shred through that benefits from the Sais' damage. Instead, you want penetration. This would yield something like Boots, Deathbringer, Rage, Executioner, Asi/Bloodforge, Heartseeker/Fatalis/Extra Penetration/Maybe Qin's. Heartseeker is usually grabbed first leaving no room for Sais. But this is situational.

I don't really like heartseaker especially if I'm supposed to sustain myself in a middle of a fight with LS. There is always a chance That I'd die. If the fight lasts to long.

So it can be like this? Boots, rage, fatalis, execu, Asi, death.
I'd rather have the fatalis soon because as my new fav now is Kali and I'd rather have more chase potential first.

Well you should most always get sais on an assassin, it's just kinda amazing, but that build works. I still would only do it if they have a lot of protections.

All I gotta say is, if you're playing Kali and not getting Sais, then you're playing her wrong.

Just trying to consider some possibilities. I really want to have LS as well as have some armor shreddingness but I would either sacrifice fatalis/death which I don't want fatalis to go and death is amazing to have but I usually just build rage without it if i need the pen. so really I'm not sure what's a good build for kali... but I do know you need sais if you really want to burst down mages
