I don't believe in the Bible and I think religion is stupid as a whole (although there are some cool stories and interesting characters within different religions, I'll admit), so I honestly don't care who they add.. But if they put the christian God in the game, his ult should be called "MASS GENOCIDE", and he floods the entire map. lel.

Actually Christian religion is full of usable material, using Lucifer in video games has not been as seen as offensive. In fact Dota uses Doombringer and is depicted with a similar back story, and uses the proper name of Lucifer. And as pointed out, "God" is considered a combination of 3 deities. Not to mention the countless Archangels that have been incorporated into the Bible and the demonology.

I don't really want to see any appearances from monotheistic religions anyway. To me, polytheistic pantheons have a very different look and feel to monotheistic ones, and when I picture Smite I picture Zeus, Odin and Ra, not Jesus or St. Michael.

Oh, once in the entire Bible. What a good showing of his personality e.e

99% of Saints are Saints because they follow peaceful religious teachings. The only one off the top of my head that isn't is St. Joan of Arc...

Why?

Precedence, dude.

Well, many of the "gods" in SMITE are not actual gods. There are demons and demi-gods. No, I don't think you could put Jesus in the game since it is from a monotheistic structure. Regardless, saints and demons should be fair game. Remember there are archangels also...

I personally think that SMITE should start incorporating deities from more "dead" civilizations. The deities of the Greek, Roman, Chinese, Norse, etc all seem too "polished". They don't have the dark "edge" of Assyrian, Babylonian, Aztec, Mayans, Celtic, and African at least IMHO.

I think that mostly comes down to these pantheons being much more familiar. I mean, to me the landscape around my city seems pretty mundane and pretty bog standard, but when we had a couple of guests from Brazil and Jordan a few years back they found it amazing. It has a lot to do with what you know well, or at least feel you know well.
