If I enter an Arena match, have someone declare that this is their first game with Zues, and me already know we are going to lose, isn't it bad?

It is insane. I shy away from ranked because I am no pro player, and I know most people don't own all the gods, but come on: Something needs to be done. I don't even know where to begin. I think a separate que should be made for people who don't have mastery rank one, although I know that's sort of what I am playing.

On second thought, what should I do if I am in the middle: Way annoyed at unranked because I could get total noobs, but not good enough to play ranked?
Thanks to Ferrum for making the sig pic! He's beast af people.

Nah, normals are just that - normals. People seem to believe unranked to be competitive, but it's not, it's meant for ANYONE who is playing to have fun. That's why I despise people who rage at people who do badly - if you're in an unranked game, it's to have fun, no matter how bad someone does. If you are a stickler on skill, play ranked. You may not be as good as others, but you'll fit into your skill niche with people around your skill level - winning half your games, losing half, but in a balanced state. With unranked, people can try whatever they will.

There's too many queues as it is to split it further into unmastered unranked, mastered unranked, and then ranked as well.

If you're playing casual, don't be overly concerned with winning; it's that simple. You're going to be teamed with people who don't know what they're doing, aren't taking this seriously, or just aren't very good. That's what the queue is there for.

If you consistently do well in casual and you're getting tired of trying to carry matches, but are unsure about stepping up to ranked, I'd suggest checking out some of the better players who stream. Focus in on someone who plays your preferred role, but you'll probably get to the point where you can identify what all roles are doing pretty quickly. The hardest thing for me was learning about stuff like when to rotate or how to move around the map, and you can learn all of that without losing to do it.

Between casual and ranked is another one of those hurdles, kind of like level 20, so you might have to take a step back before things get better, but it's not like the level of play at the bottom of ranked is incredibly high either.

Yeah, I was incredibly nervous when I first played ranked, but after a while, it doesn't feel that different than a normal match. The only annoying thing is the god pick, but you get used to it after a while.

That, and doing anything that is not top tier in ranked will get you reported by three players, if you're lucky.

(Also, for some reason I can't get into matches even after a two minute wait. I typically enter the queue at four or five, and it gets annoying when even then it can't get you in a match. Am I the only one like this?)
