In addition of some good god choices Hi Rez made to introduce them to us and as they trying to bring more and more new things one of them whic particularry delighted me is voice packs. Its pretty interesting specially when you hear them in game.

But one thing that got me worried is theyre only get to be bought with gems which pretty sucks. Lets get straight Im not asking for them to be free but at least make them available for buying with favor. Ive been busting my *** to unlock all those gods , te be honest and I only got 200 gems as a gift for getting level 30 during BETA and I will still work my way to buy them as well.

Any opinions on this ?

My opinion is that first off this is a FREE TO PLAY GAME and usually the only reasons there are FREE TO PLAY games is because people will actually pay cash which in tern those people are the reason why it stays a free to play game because they are still making profit.

Not only that but I spent money on the anhur voice pack, so if they made it free I would be EXTREMELY PISSED off because I spent my hard eared money on the voice pack already.

Also I think its a paid for thing because its suppose to be one of the things that only certain people have where you wish you could have it. Its like having a rare skin like alien ra skin or demon wukong which is not rare no more. Those skins are more have a certain value to them.
Making voice packs favorable means there is not much value in having the pack.

I agree in both ways of favor and pay if this happens.

A: If Hi-Rez refunds everyone who bought the voice packs with their money they need to return the money back to the people who bought the pack because it would be unfair for people like myself to buy a voice pack just to have it bought by people later on for free when I spent my hard earned cash on it. If they were to refund or give everyone gems in return I would be okay but then again not really because once again it takes value out of the pack.

B: If they was to return all money made on the voice pack to those who bought it then they need to make the voice packs extremely hard to get to make them worth anything. You should not be seeing people in matches using the voice packs every few matches. It should be semi rare to see people with voice packs to ensure it has value otherwise its just another thing that everyone owns and its not very special to me to have.

The main problem I see is keeping its value, owing something that someone else does not have makes having that certain thing valuable to me in real life or in gaming. If you own a gold skin it is somewhat valuable over a recolor. If you own a voice pack it is very valuable because nobody has it besides a few people. If you are the first person to buy a 2013 vehical in real life it is valuable to you.

Owning the same honda civic is nothing when everyone has it.

Value makes a game last and if everyone is able to get the same stuff as me with ease or with little to no effort meaning under a 5 days of work then I don't want it to be free period.

REFUND MY MONEY THEN OR MAKE EVERYONE PAY A 200 GEM FEE FOR ALL VOICE PACKS then I will say its okay for it to be free in game because its unfair for those who bought it.

Also a voice pack is only 200 gems.

If people cannot afford 200 gems then thats a sad day for humanity.
**** a bum off the street can literally afford 200 gems.

If you can achieve 1 dollar than you can buy 200 gems because it does not take a long time to save for 200 gems. In fact you might find enough money on the ground to buy 200 gems.

On second though no, the voice packs should not be free because they are only 200 gems.
200 is like $5 or less.

If someone can't save up $5 in within months then they have a problem they need fixed.
I can find that much money on the ground within a few months.

I'm saying that people every day order pizza from pizza hut, people everyday go buy cheetos or a bag of chips. People buy their yahoo drinks from the store.

You can live without your fat *** pizza for one day and get you 200 gems is what I'm saying.

I'm saying that ANYONE INCLUDING THE POOREST PERSON can buy 200 gems and I live in the projects and have spent over $100 on smite so whats that tell you about money?
Its not as hard to get as it seems and $5 is something even a elemtery kid can get off his friends by bumming or selling candy bars in school.

NOPE I see no problem because 200 gems is dirt cheap even a baby can get it.

I think the voice packs are a pretty cool feature as well, nightmare.

I can see why they can't be bought with favor though. They're essentially perks for people supporting the game with real money, you know? The company has to make a profit somehow and I don't think favor has a strong exchange rate with the USD.

On the flip side, it would be cool if they made a couple voice packs purchasable with favor. They would probably be for some of the less popular Gods, but it would be nice for the players who just don't have the money to spend on supporting the game.

The point is its 200 gems not 800 gems or 400 gems but 200.
If you can't get/work/or save up $5 then you don't deserve to have internet either, you don't deserve to buy a bag of chips or order pizza.

No I'm being dead serious the packs should stay paid for not only for profit for Hi-Rez but seriously if you can't save up $5 then wow is all I have to say.

If you can convince me that the average smite player cannot save up $5 then I'll change my mind. Point is its lke taking 5 on dollar bills and thats how much it cost.

You can't complain over something that isn't even expensive when anyone can afford it, its so cheap it won't even make you feel bad in the slightest not even for people with no job like myself.

400 gems = 7.99 lets round it to $8
200 gems = 3.99 lets round it to $4

ANYONE CAN GET $4 TO BUY A VOICE PACK WHICH IS WHY I HATE THIS THREAD

IF YOU CAN'T GET $4 THEN YOU HAVE BIG PROBLEMS IN YOUR LIFE BECAUSE EVEN BUMS MAKE MORE MONEY IN THEIR BEGGING CUPS!

Funny these people act like they can't save up 4 lousy dollars but if there was a yard sale saying CALL OF DUTY GHOST BRAND NEW FOR $4 they would instantly.

ICEN, some of us have different currency. $4 dollars can make enough food for a week in my country (although a cheap food) Some poor people only earn $5-$10 dollars a day for a whole family. And to consider they don't have internet, they could go to internet cafe or something and it usually cost around 0.5 dollars for the expensive one

ICEN you gotta understand that things arent the same in USA and the rest of the countries. In my country (Serbia) average wage is around 200$ and you say 5$ is nothing o.O ? Think again and you can freely call me the bum than cuz I dont have 5 $ to spend

Some of us can't buy some stuff on internet. Me, as an example, I couldn't buy stuff for a long time( I made my first microtransaction in internet on 2012), specially because I'm not from the US.
5$ in here is actually 17$, and so on. But that doesn't mean I don't support SMITE; I bought gems last christmas and also I got the god pack recently. I just don't think it's fair to have so many paid related things( Skins, God Pack, etc).

Also, the only thing you can buy on SMITE with favor are the gods. Perhaps the price of the voice packs could be pretty high( 20k Favor, as an example, but the gem option could still be optional). So then I could have something else to buy with favor instead of ugly recolors or goldens.

SMITE decided to go free to play, this was a conscious decision on HiRez's part. Knowing this, they have two audiences to placate, the players who don't spend cash and those who do. Honestly an idea like Dark Jaw's is good (making voice packs purchasable with 20k favor or so). It entices free players to stay and keep playing to meet their goals. Goals like this are imperative in online games because they're the reason people keep playing. However, It also encourages people to buy the pack at the same time since 20k favor is a lot to earn. I'd imagine this would placate both player bases.

Anyway ICEN, you need to give me the number of your dealer. I've been looking for some good speed. Wonder how much I can get for less than $5.00?
