Ok, he's not really a god, but neither is Bakasura, so screw it, I'm doing it.

Charon will be an ammo based physical carry/bruiser hybrid. His range will be 25 feet as opposed to 40 (I think) feet like the other gods, however, he will have long range spammable abilities that will deal damage based on his physical attack. He will also incorporate a pick up mechanic, which he will use as ammo. He will also have the ability to jungle, as he has sufficient sustain and decent ganks.

On the fields of Smite, Charon will still be in his boat, and as he walks over a corpse, it will show him using his stick thingy to fling the corpse onto his boat.

LORE (I tried)
Across the River Styx, he goes, bringing those who have met their end.

Rowing, rowing, rowing. Charon, ferryman of the dead, does simply what he is asked to. Dirty, ugly, old, unloved, all words the commoners associate with him. But he does not know. He does not care, for all he must focus on is his task to bring those to the underworld.

His services do not come free. Bring the coin, and you will have a slightly better time dead. Forget? Well, enjoy the hundreds of years simply wandering the shores, no sense of purpose, no sense of direction, just wandering, wandering until your body becomes tired, and you head to an eternal sleep.

The shades of the dead, once lured from the magnificent, vast overworld by Hermes to the banks of the Styx, was to be taken to a better life, by none other than Charon.

One may wonder if he becomes sick of the sights he sees. One may also wonder whether he wishes to spend eternity being a servant, whether he is fine being confined to his duty as ferryman.

Charon does not care for this. He simply accepts his fate, rowing, rowing, rowing to Hades' doorstep.

Abilities
Passive: The Ferryman for the Dead.
When an enemy unit dies around Charon, they will leave their corpse behind. Charon may move over the corpse to collect it. He gains 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 protections for every corpse he has collected. He can only carry 15 corpses at a time. He starts the game with 1 corpse.

Yet again, the main novelty for my God. He uses a collection mechanic. I'll elaborate a lot more later on. I made him start with 1 corpse to allow him to jungle easier.

1. Corpse Fling
Charon may fling a corpse he is carrying in a straight line, consuming the corpse and dealing damage to the first enemy it hits, dealing 10/20/30/40/50 (+70/80/90/100/110% of TOTAL physical power) damage. The corpse will then explode, poisoning enemies in a small AoE for 3s, dealing 10/15/20/25/30 (+10% of TOTAL physical power) each second and slowing the enemy by 25%.
3s cooldown.

Voila, the bread and butter of my God's kit. Due to his lack of range on basic attacks, he will be relying on this ability for his DPS. The AoE damage allows for decent clear times, and the slow allows him to gank. As a bit of insight, I'm planning for this ability to be around the average distance of a basic attack.

2. Armour of the Styx.
Charon coats himself in the water of the Styx, giving him a shield that absorbs 70/120/170/220/270 (+10% of bonus health) damage that lasts 5 sceonds. This shield will also cause him to gain 5/7/9/11/13% life steal and spell vamp for the duration that the shield is up.
16s cooldown, Cooldown starts after shield is broken

An ability that helps affirm his bruiser carry role. It also provides the necessary sustain to allow him to jungle efficiently.

3. A Little Ride
Charon reaches his stick forward to grab the first enemy it touches and flings him onto the boat, dealing 40/80/120/160/200 (+20% of magical power) physical damage. Charon may then move freely with the enemy for 1.5s. If he activates corpse fling while there is an enemy on the boat, he will fling the enemy instead of a corpse, but will lose the AoE damage over time.
26s Cooldown

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANKS. I also allowed you to fling the enemy you grabbed because I believe it would be fun, and someone did suggest to use Syndra's Force of Will for some inspiration.

Ultimate. Final Destination
Charon brings the river Styx around him. After a 1 cast time (CAST TIME, not channel), the water around him will spurt up, instantly killing all creeps and small jungle monsters in the area, and dealing 300/350/400/450/500 (+90% of BONUS physical power) damage. If an enemy is under 10/11/12% (+1% for every 100 physical power), they immediately die. All corpses that drop from dead enemy units are immediately transported to Charon.

I was honestly stumped on what I should do for this ability. I considered a lot of things, such as a buffed stronger version of his 3 and something I called the 'Undead army' which summoned corpses around him, dealing AoE damage over time around him, and allowing him to have infinite corpses for the duration. I then realised that he had very little killing power for a bruiser based carry. I believed an execute of some sort would be good for this. It initially was meant to be like Loki targeting, but I decided against it as there would be little counterplay to it, making it not fun to play against, and also because it would've felt a bit useless for a team. I then decreased the execution bar, but made it AoE. I decided to make it go around him as opposed to a targeted area to ensure that he would still have to be a bruiser of sorts, as opposed to full glass cannon. Finally, I made it so you collect all the corpses as an easy way to replenish them, and also to keep the 'unlimited corpses' feel. In fact, this variation would be even stronger than the previous variation of it.

And that's it for my god design. All feedback would be appreciated, and yes, this is for RazeMage's competition.

Thought I'm the only one who knew Charon lol. Great idea on the fling! Can't wait to see what his ultimate might be! Feel free to look at my take on Charon!

What if e fling mechanic was similar to Syndra's from lol? She is able to summon orbs and then has another ability that can pick up and throw the orbs, or enemy/neutral monster/minions. Dealing AoE damage.

I was basing the ability off a modified Mystic Shot (Ezreal). It's meant to be a spammable auto-attack replacement. I just made it deal AoE damage so he could jungle.

Put it this way, I believe a bruiser based physical carry that functions well in the jungle is something unique and hasn't been done in Smite.

So with the ultimate, it scales off of physical power, I'm not sure fi this is intended or not....

Scales with god Level. LoL does this as well with certain champions.

It's to ensure that they don't have a passive that's broken early but useless late game.
