Sir blinked at All4, was he really trying to recruit someone right in front of the head of the lawmages? Or rather, was he really trying to recruit right after she had attempted to arrest them? That was not a very good recruiting tactic...

On the other hand, once her reinforcements arrived he knew would need all the help we could get. Best not to take too long here anymore, even if Nixaze needed to see what the Royal Guards knew.

"Excuse me ma'am I will need to head off now, do as you wish with the rogue," He said, gesturing to Sub, who was reeling from the rather crude heal. As he tried to walk past she held out a hand.

"Lets not be hasty here, your not necessarily getting a sentence, we have to bring in Superiors who are near these sort of incidents you understand."

Sir understood alright. She was stalling. She was telling the truth when she said they had to make sure the Superiors had no part in the destruction of it, and in that regard he was in the clear. Of course, as far as she could tell a Familiar of Sirs had just invaded her mind, which was against the Laws. No-one could prove it though, everyone had fled the bar before now and the bartender (even if he wasn't dazzled by all the jewels All4 had given him) was no authority on magic.

And of course this whole thing was a bit silly. Sir knew he couldn't beat Selyna in a head on fight here, not without Nixaze's aid. And he would rather not have to go through, who knew what this part of town would have aligned with over there.

"I have extremely important business of a timely nature. The rouge set the tavern on fire, him and the brute went at it, I extinguished the fire and when the rogue threatened my loved ones I got a bit... overprotective. I'm sure the barkeep will vouch for me. Now if you'll excuse me..."

Selyna held up her hand again. This time he felt her gathering a bit of magic. Not much, she was trying to be respectful, but it was clear she would not let him leave. "It seems to me like your friend just payed off the bartender. You can't leave yet. I'm sorry, but thats how this situation works."

"Ma'am I am not asking..."

Selyna attempted to bind Sir again, Sir dove backward, getting out of cage she had conjured before it formed. All4 turned, re placing his hat and brandishing his blades once again. He charged Selyna, much quicker than she had expected. She only brought her arms in front of her in an X formation. His blades tore at her and-

-CHING- His blades slashed against her sleeves, which hardened harder than steel as the hex on her robes activated.

Sir weaved behind Selyna and grabbed her by the collar, chanting an incantation he knew would rob the hex of its power if he could unravel the spell and rob it of its shape, but he forgot one crucial thing.

That put his back to the door.

The door the guard had left through to get backup about 3 minutes ago.

Suddenly several sets of hands grabbed Sir by HIS robes, attempting to pull him through the door. There was an entire squad of guards ready to rush through the door as soon as the 'dangerous wizard' was incapacitated.

All4 threw Selyna to the side slashed at a few of the guards, who apparently didn't have the same hexes as Selyna. Sir felt warm blood on his back as the hands released him. "The attic, quick." he said. Then he couldn't feel his legs, Selyna had picked up the pace. A quick look told him she had All4 in the same spell, 'Well great, this will complicate things,' he thought.

Raven slammed Selyna into the wall, HARD. Sir cast a set of illusions at the lawmen. The spell baited Selynas next spell from taking hold, which would have frozen them in their own skins for several seconds.

They quickly made their way up to the attic. All4 and Raven put a large bookshelf against the door. A second later there was a loud pounding, followed by a much more coordinated (took me literally 2 minutes to remember that word -_-) set of blows. "I don't know, I don't think we can make it across the rooftops with Selyna trying to bind us the whole time." Raven said.

"We can't, although I wish we could."

All4 and Raven looked at each other, thinking the idiot mage had lost it.

"Apartum," Sir waved his hand through the air in front of him and the air was discolored where his hand swept it. "The Nevernever is dangerous in the best of places, this isn't the best neighborhood so I was hoping to avoid it. Don't let your guard down in here, its not a fun place like the prison we might have ended up in."

Then he just walked through. A few seconds later his hand came back through, gesturing them to come in. All4 and Raven shared another look, when the door broke and the bookshelves moved forward a few inches. "After you," Raven said. All4 rolled his eyes, although it was hidden in his cowl, and stepped through. When nothing drastic followed, except the bookshelves toppling over after one last shove from the guards, he jumped through it, and the portal fell behind him.

They stepped through into a dank forest. The canopy covered the sky, preventing too much light from coming in, and the overall look was of a forest at dusk. "This seems harmless enough." Raven said.

"You haven't met the locals, they do not like company."

"Fair enough, where do we go from here?"

"Well, someplace where the sun shines would be a nice start. Lets just start walking."

They didn't walk too far when All4 said, "I hear something." Sir and Raven stopped moving, but All4 didn't. "Well I don't think stopping to see what it is is a good idea!"

"Good po-" Raven pulled Sir to the side, out of the way of what sounded like a bullet, which slammed into the tree leaving a hole. "Move." He said, and suited word to action.

They ran through the forest at a much higher speed than one wants to run through the roots and vines covering the forest floor. Along the way they caught sight of what was shooting at them. It was some sort of plant, which shot seeds through a bell like flower. They couldn't move, but they were everywhere.

"What the **** are these?!" Raven shouted.

"I don't know, I've never heard of them before."

"I knew joining you guys was a good idea, I really did."

Suddenly they were out of the forest. "APARTUM!" Sir shouted, a rough portal simply appeared in the air, and they burst through it...

*Written by JararoNatsu and Ragingstorm, and edited heavily by the former*

"Idiots," JararoNatsu said. "I hope that they continue fighting. I find it entertaining."

He had arrived in the Realm of The Mystics only a moment before, and a black-robed woman, facing away from him, had been waiting for him. He had expected as much, since they typically met after significant events. It was in these times that they watched these events, since it was by powers unknown to mortal men that the Council could see events from afar.

"So, what happens next? I like my entertainment, you know." He could not help but laugh at his statement.

"We wish to challenge the humans, to see if they are worthy...." The woman said. She grinned, slightly looking at the palm of her hand where a hellish purple flame flickered.

"With what?" JararoNatsu asked as he walked to her side, and and it was then that he had found an answer to his question.

They were standing upon a jagged rock formation-part of which JararoNatsu had scratched his leg on when he appeared. He swore profusely when he did this-and in front of them stood an army of Mystics, though not any kind that JararoNatsu had seen before. They seemed far more like the demons that he had seen in another realm. Under the dark and cloudy sky, they seemed all the more menacing.

"What the hell are they?" he asked.

The woman's lustrous black eyes gleamed in the scented air. She smirked, much of her face being concealed by the hood of her ebony coat she reached her hand, slowly, up to her hood and brought it down.

"Those? Those are my pets. Experiments, you could call them...." Her forefinger extended as the flame went out in her hand. Ragingstorm stood in front of Jararo, extending her hand pressing against the boy's lips to hush him up. "Shh... don't ask too many questions. The warriors will be tested... it's only a matter of time. Come." She spoke, her voice sounded gentle and calm as she gestured to the ground, and a dark purple portal opened.

"It is time to visit my master once again...."

OOC: @sub

The backstory was not yet done so there is more so wait with that verdict of yours. The guy is a rogue which basicly makes him obligated to be a thief or an assassin and i find a thief backstory boring.

Also maybe we should put jararo in th pm chain we made.
never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

OOC: Eh, I guess it's easier to post like this. The question is, do you want to be a rogue-type? Your character wears light armor, but that doesn't necessarily make him a rogue.

But if you do choose to be a rogue, you shouldn't feel restricted to a Assassin's Creed-ish, "learned to kill from an early age" background. Here is a list of actual rogue-like characters who got unconventional starts:

-Harry Dresden (Dresden Files): Orphaned son of a powerful wizard, who inherits strange powers but is forced to fend for himself at an early age, making him very roguelike. Seriously, he's backstabbed and suckerpunched more people than a 20th level rogue in Pathfinder.

-The unnamed Princess of Betancuria (Dances with Rogues): Her family was butchered, her kingdom was conquered, her mother kills herself and she is raped, all in the opening scene. She is forced to work for the Thieves' Guild, and learns to be a rogue to survive. From here on, she could continue to be a Rogue, or become something else, like a Paladin.

-Severus Snape (Really?): He becomes a spy in Voldemort's ranks due to an iron motivation and dedication to [spoiler redacted]. Point is, he sneaks, he backstabs, he betrays, he kicks ***, yet he was born from a poor and abusive family in the English Suburbs.

They don't belong to a secret society of ninja warriors, but they are dastardly rogues regardless. Rogueness isn't a genetic trait; it's more like a mindset you adopt. Here are two common starts:

-Unwilling: This is one who was fell on his fortunes, and he is thrust in a very uncomfortable world. He seeks to gain something, and isn't very discriminate about his options. You could be an aristocrat, breaking the law to perform heists to pay the ransom of his brother. You could be an orphaned street rat, hardened by the cruelties of the lower class. These are very driven and focused characters.

-Willing: These are the oddballs who embody chaos. They decide that society is not right for them, and leave to pursue a different life. Perhaps the bored prince decides to become a mercenary, and likes it. Or maybe one man, surrounded by oppression, decided to fix things by working through the shadows. These are very free-spirited and flighty characters.

Examples of Unwilling: Crowley (Good Omens), Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl), Jean Valjean (Les Miserables).

Examples of Willing: Tom Sawyer, Fred and George Weasley, and the assassins (Assassin's Creed).

I actually never thought of the AC assassins when writting the backstory.

Only similaties are masyaf and ezio's family dieing to betrayal which is sorta similar.

I will get to a computer will finish the back story and then i want you to point out any big similarities.

(Personally i think my guys back story is similar to the dark brotherhood story but it's not fully finished yet so that's not very clear yet.

OOC: i say yes to that world building idea.

How is he a mary sue when he is overconfident, egocentric an boastfull which cost him a loved one. Ofcourse he becomes it a bit
Less after such an a loss. Yes he is very skilled maybe a bit to much but it can be towned down if needed. Then again all of our character's have some mary sue characteristic's because it's a point that they can't be killed. Meaning that they have to beable to defeat everything or escape everything.

Sir's is basicly unbeatable in magic and yours is unbeatable at range while mine is unbeatable very close combat and raven is unbeatable from the front.

Sir beat's you with spell's, i beat sir because mobility, raven beats me because i can't deal enough damage to him before he crushes my skull with his zweihander and you beat raven because of range and speed so you can get behind him or knives hit small hole's in his armor. We all have flaws and strengt's giving us partial mary sue charactaristic's and partial human charactaristic's.

I think il give my guy as fear dog's because when i was younger i was afraid of dog's so i will work that into the story at some point in time.

PS. No i do not have any of the part's saved up right now so it would be great if you don't over pm the second part.

My character is not unbeatable at magic. He is very skilled but does not have much in the way of power. It just seemed like a natural counter to order magic in that way, which is how I beat Selyna that easily. Someone with more power can throw more at him than he can handle

My LONG Post

*Depelle comes from Deppol, a portmanteau of Department and Police. My idea for a faction. Maybe I should change the name? I think it's still a good idea to have a police/military faction.
