I'm wondering what you guys think.

Recently I've been giving an extra assignment as addition to my internship - being a head hunter.
Basically, I have to go trough quite a few CV's and see who's most competent to fill in a certain role in this company. Interestingly, I've seen the trend with the younger applicants of them adding their IQ -some with, some without source - to their CV.

I'm personally not a fan of judging people on their IQ. Granted, every applicant's IQ is above 110, if it wasn't, he/she would probably not deem it mention worthy. The thing with IQ tests is that, for starters, without a scientificly grounded source it's pretty much disregardable and secondly, you can practice for an IQ test.

It's similar to how the Brain Training game on the Nintendo DS did not actually make your brain smarter or fucntion better - you merely made your brain memorize certain patterns and recognize things by practicing. (I can't find the source, sorry)|

However it's negotiable that, for being able to practice and learn certain patterns, you need a level of intelligence and brain capability to begin with.

What do you think? Should I be allowed to judge people based on their IQ, should it give an edge over people with lower IQ or someone not mentioning it?

PS: This website gives a pretty decent IQ test, the time limit is 15 minutes for 30 questions, no timer, but it automaticly ends after 15. Give it a shot! Although just for giggles, I'm curious about your IQ's! http://www.intelligencetest.com
PPS: I also did the IQ test, the one above, and a real monitored one years back, it was fine, so no, I'm not biased!

I got an IQ of 129 but i didnt even understand some of the questions :S English is hard :p

I came across a quite harder IQ test, it's a fair bit longer and I got bored near the end, but I feel it's harder than above mentioned test.

I had a 132 score on the first test and 122 on this one.

No biggie, the second one defnitely requires more focus, so I'd do it when you're well slept and fresh. I'm curious as to see how your IQ stands between these two tests since the second one seems to yield lower results.
