PROS
Really good team fighting ultimate.
Good CC in her kit if you use the root properly.
Late game MENACE.


CONS
Bad early clear.
Low pressure in lane early game, out cleared by nearly every other ADC in the early game.
Very low mobility - easy to dive and gank. You have to be mindful of positioning.
Her strength lies in her late-game; if you feed and never make it to late game, you should play an early game hunter.

Artemis' full combo is the following:

Artemis will also use Transgressor's Fate off of her allies' hard CC such as Ymir's Frost Breath. That will lead to the following combo:

Transgressor's Fate > Vengeful Assault + Autos > Suppress The Insolent + Autos

Artemis' "mini combo" is the following:

Suppress The Insolent > Vengeful Assault + Autos. Suppress The Insolent will proc Still Target.

Artemis is a very late-game hunter. She can do damage early, she can get lucky solos in lane if the matchup is okay and the enemy is not the brightest, but her strength lies in her late-game team fighting.

In the early game, you just want to farm and play safe. Ward and be mindful of your positioning as well as when your ultimate and relics are up.

Mid-game the same applies but you may be doing some early rotations if there is a fight going on near you (such as gold fury or mid lane), especially if you have ultimate up because it will turn the team fight in your favor 100% of the time.

Late game, Artemis is an aggressive, w keying, diving type god. The issue with Artemis is that once you are IN a team fight, whether you blinked in or walked in or whatever, it is a fight to the death. SOMEONES getting wiped. Because of Artemis' immobility, you can rarely disengage from a team fight once you are in there and have ulted, used your stim, etc. And disengaging is not what you want to do anyways, you have an amazing ultimate that will stun the entire enemy team, you hit like a truck, and you SHOULD have your team with you providing peel and damage. I'm talking about 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 teamfights, not you blinking into 5 enemies, ulting, and then inting.

Indirect changes to Artemis:

[BUFF] Dominance: Increased Basic Attack Bonus Penetration from 10% to 15%.

What this means for Artemis: It is a viable item now! No attack speed still sucks, but it's finally better than just buying Titan's Bane, and adding attack speed would probably make it too good.

[BUFF] Guilded Arrow: Decreased Cost from 700 to 650 + increased Basic Attack Power from 15 to 20.

What this means for Artemis: Still not building it.

8.8 BONUS UPDATE

No direct changes to Artemis.

Indirect changes to Artemis:

[NERF] Odysseus' Bow: Decreased Attack Speed from 40% to 30%
[NERF] Ichaival: Decreased the Power Increase from this item’s passive from 15 to 10 per stack. [Total power went from 80 to 65]

What this means for Artemis: From what I have seen people are still running the build shown, they are just replacing Ichaival late game now instead of keeping it.

Solid build, I know you have a note on the build order but I would always build Odysseus' Bow before Silverbranch Bow, since it gives so much attack speed and you aren't getting a lot out of Silverbranch Bow prior to that. Additionally, Artemis has weak waveclear so getting Odysseus' Bow early really helps clear early.

Lastly, a note to combos, because Calydonian Boar has 100% scaling, I would consider popping Vengeful Assault before ulting and get that Silverbranch Bow power. You're trading off less auto damage for a couple seconds for a stronger boar, which I think has better potential since it hits more targets.

SO TRUE actually I was thinking of Obow before Silverbranch but I wasn't sure... You have convinced me ! Also I never thought about Silverbranch procs before ulting, I will add that as well :)
