only get Guardian's Blessing if there are no other tanks on your team
I put Heavenly Wings here because sometimes when you aren't getting Guardian's Blessing, it's worth it to buy the upgrade for Heavenly Wings
swap this in for any item. whichever you feel you need less in the current situation
the blink/ult combo on ama is pretty awesome, but I try to get that as the second relic
Hi! Ama is my favorite warrior and has been for a while. But... let's just say I was pretty mediocre at her for a long time...
This is the build that changed that.
As always I'm open to politely expressed comments and suggestions!
Warrior Tabi is a no-brainer. The extra power early game means squishies actually have to consider you a threat.
Spirit Robe comes next to make up for the fact that you're sitting without much defense at this point. It gives protection from both physical and magical and is also one of the strongest anti-CC items. With how CC heavy the game is, any tank (even partial tank) needs to worry about CC. The CDR is also nice as Ama has some potent abilities.
Frostbound Hammer is part one of a 1-2 punch that has been so effective in my testing that I'm honestly surprised I don't see it more often. More on that soon, but it also gives the ability to cling to a target, some extra power, and some very welcome max HP.
Runeforged Hammer is the second half of that combo. Every hit slows, and now, every hit on a slowed person does 15% more damage. It works on other CC too, of course, but this way you'll almost NEVER not be using it. Much like Frostbound, it also gives power and health, which are always appreciated.
This is a pricey one, but I get Mantle of Discord here. The sheer amount of protections coupled with its sweet passive allows you to survive many a difficult encounter. We also get more CDR. Woo!
I finish the build off with Stone Cutting Sword for extra attack potential that also grants some extra defense. It also makes you faster. Zoom zoom.
It's worth mentioning that I also think Qin's Sais is great on Amaterasu, but only when you need to do some shredding. Swap it in place of Spirit Robe or Mantle of Discord if you feel you need it.

Spirit Robe as a 2nd item (and first protection item) isn't where I would build it usually, though you do give good reason behind the choice. I usually pick it up mid/late game, as I usually prefer something with both health and protections earlier.
Your alt "extra tanky" build is okay, but seems a bit light on the magical prots. Maybe it's fine, but I'm not sure I like Shifter's Shield there all that much. Regrowth is nice on her though. I'd probably consider void in that Shifter's spot, and get either a dedicated magical prot item like Oni, Shogun's, or dual prots like Spirit in Void's old place.
I don't feel she uses Blink Rune all that well. Would open up relic suggestions to Magic Shell etc.
