Hello, guys, my name is Marko and I am going to show you an awesome build for Anubis, as well as my "Kill Combo"!
My email: [email protected]
Anubis is the Greek name of a jackal-headed god associated with mummification and the afterlife in ancient Egyptian religion.
Like many ancient Egyptian deities, Anubis assumed different roles in various contexts. Depicted as a protector of graves as early as the First Dynasty (c. 3100 c. 2890 BC), Anubis was also an embalmer. By the Middle Kingdom (c. 2055 1650 BC), Anubis was replaced by Osiris in his role as Lord of the underworld. One of his prominent roles was as a god who ushered souls into the afterlife. He attended the weighing scale during the "Weighing of the Heart," in which it was determined whether a soul would be allowed to enter the realm of the dead. Despite being one of the most ancient and "one of the most frequently depicted and mentioned gods" in the Egyptian pantheon, however, Anubis played almost no role in Egyptian myths.
Anubis was depicted in black, a color that symbolized both rebirth and the discoloration of the corpse after embalming. Anubis is associated with Wepwawet (also called Upuaut), another Egyptian god portrayed with a dog's head or in canine form, but with grey or white fur. Historians assume that the two figures were eventually combined. Anubis' female counterpart is Anput. His daughter is the serpent goddess Kebechet.
He conducted and guided the dead through the Underworld to judgment in the Hall of Truths.
He was associated with with the process of embalming and mummification. He was widely worshipped throughout all of Egypt and his cult center was Cynopolis.
He was credited with the invention of embalming, an art he first practiced on the corpse of Osiris.
This is all I know about Anubis, please leave more in the comments section below if you know more! I'll put it in here!
PROS
- Great CC and has a CC reduction passive (30%).
- Massive damage!!!
- Quick Kills and quick retreats.
=======================================================================
CONS
- Either you get a kill, or you get killed!
- In early game you will most likely run out of Mana if you don't have Meditation or MP5.
- Very squishy...
- You will need skill to successfully do the "Kill Combo".
Passive
This grants Anubis 30% reduction to all crowd control durations and does not stack with Resolve.
I====================================================================I
This deals massive damage to enemies close to you, and you can AIM with it, which is pretty cool!
I====================================================================I
This is a massive crowd control that will trap your target.Most important thing for "Kill Combo"!
I====================================================================I
One of the most important things of the "Kill Combo"! Putting it underneath opponent will cause extreme damage and plus heal you! Very powerful!
I====================================================================I
And finally, the Ability that Anubis is famous for, Death Gaze! This thing is so powerful that it deals 30 Damage per tick, and for those who don't know what a tick is, 20 ticks are 1 sec, it lasts for 3 secs! Max damage per tick is 43 and that is 2580 damage in total!!!
In the start of the game
You will need Health and Mana at the beggining of the match, right? But those potions take forever to heal you up! You gain Health and Mana by killing Minions!
I====================================================================I
Just for some speed, but later, in Mid game or Early game...OR if you feel like WRECKING 'EM in the beggining, for Magical Penetration and Magical Power, for Shoes of the Magi, but more about that later.
I====================================================================I
Sprint
For some speed when going out of the base/fountain, and for some escaping! In Mid/Early game upgrade to Greater Sprint.
I====================================================================I
You still need some healing in Early game, even with Vampiric Shroud.
I====================================================================I
Early game
You will need lots of Magical Power for Kill Combo. This is the perfect item for it because it stacks!
I====================================================================I
As I mentioned, you will need this Magical Power and Penetration so your attacks deal Maximum Damage! Also, you go a bit faster.
I====================================================================I
and
You should get these in Early game, eventually in Mid game. These are your life saviors!
I====================================================================I
Mid game
This item will let you deal insane damage AND not let you go Mana hungry with +125 Mana
and +15MP5! A must-have item for Anubis!
I====================================================================I
This gives you more Magical Penetration and Magical Power, as you may have noticed, we are going all-damage out, which is good, 'cus you don't want to have a tank Anubis, right? If you do, this guide is NOT for you, sorry.
I====================================================================I
Yes, even more Magical Power and Mana, but this time, more Health, and your enemies will be slowed!
I====================================================================I
Just more Magical Power...
I====================================================================I
Late game
You should have all these in Late game, remove Vampiric Shroud:
Hope you understand why I have chosen these items! If helped please leave a +1, it helps a lot!
I====================================================================I
Doing a successful Kill Combo is not so easy, you need to be extremely precise to put Grasping Hands on his feet, and then stun him and trap him with the Mummify ability.
Now you just lend the Death Gaze off and you are pretty much done - you got the kill!
PRO TIP:Don't forget to aim to increase the damage dealt and make sure you get that kill, otherwise he will get a kill by killing you!
WARNING! Do not try this on full-health Tanks, like
or
!
Thank you for reading my Guide for Anubis! It took a lot of work to find this perfect loadout! I hope it helps, because it helped me get Godlike, Immortal and Divine! It also leads to Triple and Quadra kills! This is my very first guide and, as I said, hope it helps!
If you like it please leave a +1! It helps a lot and it takes only a second! It wont kill ya, bro!

But meh, preferences i guess. Still though, no lifesteal.
Im more or less the very aggressive and reckless player, find it more exciting that way.
But this build, as the title say, is for Arena, so we have to keep this in mind.
Also, your argument about permanently stacked item or one you can lose is the exact same thing when I say it's a risk.
That risk, is losing those stacks, but the worse that can happen, is losing 5 stacks, which is somewhat easy to recover in Arena.
And now, is it better ?
If you have all stacks, yes clearly better.
If you have half stacks, it's still good, but not the best is slot.
If you struggle getting stacks, then no, it's not a good item.
All depend if you are confident about keeping those stacks.
Also, whats better, a permanently stacked item or one that you can lose? Also those assists are way harder to get then you think, since you are most likely to get focused on first. (well they should anyway)
Even with Anubis, if you play really safe, or against a bad team composition, it can work.
Also, keep in mind that the "risk", it is to lose 50 magical power (maximum).
Which can be recover in 5 assist, or 2 kills and 1 assist.
In Arena et Assault game modes, kills and assist can be gather quickly.
For it's price, a potential of 140 magical power, it's worth a mention, and sometimes it's worth the risk.
It's a matter of preference. But it's never "useless", unless you are feeding.
But Doom Orb is not useless, especially in Arena, but it's still a risky path.
He never said that Anubis was a Greek god.
He only said that "Anubis" was the Greek name for that god.
Which is true, according to wikipedia.
