I'm ThePerfectPrism, a long-time Mastery X 
Aphrodite Player. I currently have just about 3000 worshippers on her and I used to play her in Support back in S0, S1 and S2.
This is what you aim for while you're playing Aphrodite support. You need the protections, but you also need to carry some damage since the primary reason you're playing Aphrodite support is for her healing.
Now for some remarks.
While I think the better call is to get a point in Back Off! at level 4, you can wait till level 6 and instead put a second point in Kiss, because you're pretty much going to gas pedal both you and your support, however, there's virtually an unnoticeable difference between 8% and 11% movement speed, and the damage from Back Off! will most likely help clear wave. It's your choice though.
If you're going for a "Team Support" path, get both Sovereignty amd Heartward Amulet before Celestial Legion Helm and Void Stone. You're going to lack damage most of the game, but you'll be more efficient in early teamfights.
Aphrodite's largest threat, while playing as support, is her lack of mobility and displacement CCs. Watch out for characters who focus on both aspects, such as 
Geb, 
Athena, 
Sobek and 
Sylvanus.

This is a great guide for playing aphro as support in conquest! I almost always have a decent to good game with her when following the suggested items listed here! Which is great because I don't care for any guardians aside from Ares (who I've already gotten to diamond and he isn't that great in conquest from my experience).
So anyway, this was really helpful. :)

Nice guide! :) I'm not 100% certain, but is it true that Aphrodite's Love Birds will reset the duration on Gem of Isolation, per 0.5s tick? If so, that would make it FAR more powerful than you described here. :)
