So the basic idea of this guide is to use "No Escape" as often as possible. If you launch it as soon as it comes up and manage to catch 2 or 3 people each time you should manage to actually pull enemies almost every time you ult. Also warn allies you're launching your ult ahead of time with VVVR this is especially important if you have allies with harder to hit multi-target ults like Kukulkan, Poseidon, or Ra. Once you land the ult chain as many seperate enemies as possible then distance yourself from the *****torm that will be where you just landed. You can choose to stay in and fight a bit but chances are the enemy team will do everything in their power to take you down.
While you ult is on cooldown basically you hit chains then flames on squishy enemies with otherwise good escapes (Neith, Rama, etc.) and let your team clean up the trapped enemies. The main point of Ares is preventing enemy escapes so try to play as such not searching for kills as much.
Strong CC guardians like Ares or Hades
This changes things a bit. To be successful in this match up you have to figure out how they're playing it. If they're coming after you with ults buy beads but it is fairly common for them to avoid you and focus on squishy targets. My personal strategy usually follows the second more closely as bringing in a guardian is much less guarantee of a kill. That being said don't let them deter you from an otherwise good pull. Basically the way I see it is if they're at high health I don't count them towards my pull count, i.e. I got 2 people + Ares with my ult.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

If you're going to go physical protection second item, I recommend Mystical Mail personally. Aura item, does more damage, and adds to your power. V good early item, and you can sell it later for Breastplate of Valor or another defensive item.
I have Breastplate of Valor there because of the CDR it provides. Without max CDR you will get beat by beads every time making ares a lot less useful
