Pros
Great sustain with Eat Minion
Lots of damage with Butcher Blades
High Atk speed
Difficult to kill when fed
Cons
Squishy Early game
Weak against Hard CC unless you use Regurgitate
No mana when sorrounded = death
Very low CC
Bakasura has some amazing skills. Before you ask why I don`t prioritise Regurgitate, lets see all of the skills in detail first.
Insatiable hunger: PASSIVE. Bakasura's attack and movement speed temporarily increases for each enemy that he kills. .
This is what makes Bakasura so annoying to others. Each kill gives Bakasura 10% more atk. and mov. speed. You can stack up to 3 kills max, so before engaging an enemy god, try to have at least 2 kills, so you can end the god`s suffering faster.
Take Down: Bakasura leaps to his ground target location, doing damage to all enemies in the area and reducing their Physical Protection.
This is your engaging/escaping/persecution ability. Even do this ability cant be use while cripple or stunned (for example: Poseidons Whirlpool and Neiths Spirit Arrow), this ability can jump over walls, so you can engage from the jungle or escape from a conflict. This ability also does great damage to gods and reduce physical armour by 20%, but personally I max this last.
Eat Minion: Bakasura grabs a minion and devours it, healing himself and gaining a Protections Buff. Buff wielding minions must be at 33% Health to be consumed. Up to 6 minions are stored for Regurgitate.
This is just amazing. You heal yourself tons of health and you gain physical and magical protection for 10 seconds. This skill convined with Insasiable Hunger Makes you really annoying. Up to six minions or monsters can be stored for your ultimate, so try to have them before level 5. I max this first for the great sustain and the buff it grants.
Butcher Blades: Bakasura passively gains Physical Power. When activated, he gains additional true damage on each strike for the duration.
Ok, so this is where your damage comes from. This ability has to be activated every time you can in Late Game, so you can kill even the most Tanky Geb. Also, this ability helps you cleaning camps and rapidly kill the minions on your line. The only downside is that you need High Atk. speed for this ability to truly work. I max this second for the reasons above.
Regurgitate: Bakasura regurgitates all of the minions consumed by his Eat Minion ability at his ground target location that Slows and Cripples enemy players. Bakasura's Basic Attacks become cone attacks and he is immune to Crowd Control for a short duration.
Ok, here is why you DONT need to prioritize this: The only thing you improve is the time the enemy god is being slowed and the time and mana it needs to be use. Your and the minions damage remains the same all the time. having this at level 1 or 2 its perfect in Early/Mid game. This ability also makes you inmune to CC for 1.5 seconds, so if you are in trouble, you could use this to run away. The cone attacks are great in teamfights, Be REALLY picky where and when you use it. Max this as you want, you have being warned.
If you want to succeed with Bakasura here is your shopping list:
Starter______________________________________________________________________________
Bluestone Pendant: PASSIVE - Enemies hit by your damaging Abilities take additional 30 Physical Damage over 2s. (Max 2 Stacks) This item will help you a lot during Early/Mid game. its passive will boost your Butcher Blades and that mana regeneration will make you stay longer in the line. Some people prefer Death's Toll, but thanks to Eat Minion you dont need that health regeneration and Buestone Pendant will give you more mana, which is what you want.
Boots: Do I really need to explain why this are important? Buy them, yes or yes.
Mana and Healing Potions. If you want to keep up with your oponent, you need this during Early/Mid game. Mana will help you have your skills always available. and health will make stay longer. Buy 3 of each one right away.
Lv1 Active__________________________________________________________________________
Here you have 2 options:
Teleport Teleport: Using this item allows you to teleport to any allied tower or ward, without damage interruption, while being unable to move. You are still interrupted by hard Crowd Control.
Meditation Meditation: Using this item restores to the owner and his teammates within 35 15% of the owner's Health and 35% of the owner's maximum Mana.
If you want to stay in the line forever, pick Meditation, you will need to recall like 3 times just for your items. But, if you want to help others, or want to return to your tower more quickly, teleport is for you. Either one is great for Lv1, but only pick one of them.
Core_______________________________________________________________________________
I usually buy them in this order, but if you want to buy something later or first, try it, maybe it works better.
Ichaival: PASSIVE - Every successful Basic Attack increases your Physical Power by 10 and reduces your target's Physical Power from items by 10, for 3s. (Max 3 Stacks) This bow is simply great, good attack speed, good penetration for Early game, and the passive is great combined with Butcher Blades.
Ninja Tabi: A lot of people maybe prefer Warrior Tabi, but Ninja Tabi suits Bakasura better. Bakasura is the kind of gods that hits fast and hard, but mostly fast. Ninja Tabi grants attack speed, movement speed and decent physical power. Simply great.
Hastened Fatalis: PASSIVE - When a Basic Attack hits a target, the attacking movement speed Debuff is removed from you for 1s. This item is BROKEN. As long as you keep hitting the enemy, you speed debuff is reduces. Basically, if the enemy god is far away enough of their tower, you could kill him with basic attacks. Play safe before buying this, but as soon as you get this item, you will kill any one who dares to come near you.
Lv12 Active__________________________________________________________________________
Here you have 3 options:
Purification Purification: Using this item removes Crowd Control Effects and makes you immune to new ones for 2s.
Curse Curse: Using this item reduces all enemy gods Movement Speed by 40% in a 55 unit radius around you for 5s. Their healing is also reduced by 65% for the duration.
Shell Shell: Using this item gives the owner and his allies a +45 Magical and Physical Protections for 5 seconds. Also, all damage taken is reduced by 15%.
Depending on how well are you and your team doing, you will need more immunity to CC, more speed to catch up with your enemy, or more defense during teamfights. I personally prefer Curse, but this list should cover most of the posibilities.
Damage______________________________________________________________________________
Ok, now the fun part. Dependeng on the enemy team, you will need penetration, critical hits, etc. pick one or two depending on how well or bad are you going.
The Executioner: PASSIVE - Basic Attacks against an enemy reduce your target's Physical Protection by 8% for 3 seconds (max. 4 Stacks).
This is a great item if you are going againts tanky enemy gods. the passive makes their defenses almost useless, and it is cheap. Even so, I personally dont find it game changing or anything like that. This is a great option, pick it without fear, you will enjoy it.
Titan's Bane: Passive: All of your physical attacks gain 33% Physical Penetration.
Oh my god what a great item. Cheap, powerful and a nice passive. I like this more than The Executioner simply because it has no timer, but suit yourself.
Deathbringer: PASSIVE - Critical Strike damage is increased by 40%.
Sure you will say: Oh, another build for an assassin that ask for Deathbringer, so original. Yes, Deathbringer is a great item for assassins; lots of damage, decent crit. chance and a nice passive. Simply great.
Masamune: Passive, You deal additional Physical Power damage against Gods with more maximum health than you, equal to 1 power for every 10 health difference, to a maximum of 50 damage.
Finally, a season 3 item. This item work awesome with assassins. Assassin gods doent have lots of health, so this item work great againts most of other gods, even mages like Hades. Pick this ONLY if 3 or more gods have more health than you (just by looking you can tell who has more health).
Protection(?)______________________________________________________________________________
Weird? a full section only for defensive items, in an assasins guide? Believe it or not, assassins needs defense as well. Buy at least one, it will literally save your life.
Mantle of discord: PASSIVE - If you take damage below 30% health you unleash a shockwave that stuns all enemies within a range of 20 units for 1s and gain CC immunity for 1s. This effect cannot trigger more than once every 90s.
This is the Spirit Robe's competition. It gives you a lot of physical and magical protection, decent cooldown reduccion and the passive allows you to escape a gank if you have to. One of my favourite items in season 3, but again, it depends on the situation you are.
Spirit robe: PASSIVE - You gain an additional 15% Damage Mitigation for 3s whenever you are hit with a hard Crowd Control Effect. This can only occur once every 10 seconds.
While Mantle of Discord is more like a specific situation item, Spirit Robe is more generic item. goog protection, better cooldown that Mantle of Discord and gives you CC reduction. if Mantle of Discord doesnt atract you, buy this one.
Magi's Blessing Magi's Blessing: PASSIVE - Absorbs a single hard Crowd Control effect or Root once every 70 seconds. When this occurs, the owner also receives 1s of Crowd Control immunity.
This item is really nice when you fight againts CC gods. keep in mind that having 350 more health doent help you if you bought/plan to buy Masamune.
Situational____________________________________________________________________________
These items are for specific situation. Pick them only for the situations they suits better.
Winged Blade: PASSIVE - When hit by a Slow, you are immune to Slows and your movement speed is increased by 20% for 4s. Only occurs once every 30 seconds.
If you are fighting Freya, Ah Puch, or any god that slows you down like a B@tch, buy this without question.
Stone Cutting Sword: PASSIVE – Melee Basic Attacks decreases enemy Physical protections by 10, and increase your physical protection by 10 for 3s (max. 3 Stacks).
if you bougth Titan's Bane and you feel like you still can't get through, this item will do the work, and even will grant you aditional protection.
I have in mind doing a guide through the line, but that will take me more time to do.
I am in college, so i dont have all the time in the world (doing only this part cost me like a week)
If you want any other section (Team work, creeping, etc.) just tell me in the comments and I will get into it.
Have a nice meal!
