So you want to main Bakasura?

Great choice. Bakasura is an amazing jungler and ganker, who is able to destroy squishies and shred tanks.

There's a couple of things to remember when playing Bakasura.

ALWAYS KEEP YOUR PASSIVE AT MAX STACKS!

Every minion or creature you eat, it gives you a stack on your passive. More stacks equal more minions from your ultimate. That's always a good thing because:

DON'T FORGET YOU CAN EAT YOUR OWN MINIONS FROM REGURGITATION!

It's really easy to forget about, but when you're low on health in a teamfight, you can easily just eat one of your regurgitated minions for a hefty heal.

General tips and tricks

90% of the time I use Take Down as an escape tool. It's generally best to use it this way until you get halfway through the build (around Stone Cutting Sword) and are able to shred anybody in-range.

Don't forget you can eat big jungle creeps if they're at or below 33% health. It's a huge timesaver and can secure contested jungle buffs easily in the early game.

ALWAYS HAVE BUTCHER BLADES UP. I cannot stress this enough. I've seen Baka players rush in and not have Butcher Blades activated until several seconds into the fight. There's no reason not to have these up. It sounds redundant, but oh god.

Regurgitate is the ultimate pentakill move. If you rushed Golden Blade, you'll see what I mean. Tons of damage. Everywhere.

Strategies

My way to play Baka is to prioritize jungle camps no matter what. Staying ahead is the name of the game. Once you're one or two levels ahead of your enemies, then I'd start ganking.

Always make sure you have at least 3 stacks of your passive before ganking, just for utility purposes (healing and chip damage).

Always prioritize the squishies of the group. With my build you can easily 3-4 shot them. Warriors and Guardians should be easy once you have Hastened Katana.

Butcher blades are your tank buster. Use them along with the items in my build to easily shred anybody with protections.

Don't be afraid to tower dive. Eat Minion is an AMAZING self heal ability. Once you reach mid-level, you'll be healing for 1/3 of your health easily. If you have regurgitate, you can always eat your own minions while running or under the enemy tower for prolonged engagement.

I don't know if I'd suggest a non-jungle starter in a jungle role. I think it'd be better in general to go for either the buffed Manikin Scepter or the standard Eye Of The Jungle. You want faster clear, and while you do get Golden Blade (which is probably not necessary but is nice to have), the jungle starters give you much better damage against those camps.

Also, I'd think you'd want more damage potential. While it's nice to have the higher heal, grabbing a jungle starter will give you some sustain while in the jungle, and that'll allow you to level your leap after you max BB.

I disagree, especially in higher ranked games I find Baka's base kit clear potential to be great for sustain and damage. I prefer cowl and golden blade because it helps secure early ganks (which is one of Baka's pros) while also giving extra clear potential in the jungle.

The 10% LS and bonus movement/attack speed of cowl gives you way more options outside of the jungle, especially if you go for early solo/mid ganks.

Well I can't argue with higher skill being able to take advantage of different things or making up for a lack of other things some items can provide. I'm also supportive of off-meta things.

That said, I believe I'm still coming from a fairly meta mindset with my comment and general thoughts. I don't think what I've said is incorrect with regard to functionality of standard suggested items. If anything, I don't think it'd be bad with the standard suggestions, just maybe you feel you've found a build or item set that allows you to take advantage w/ your playstyle?

I just happened to find baraka and i wish i had found him sooner, and your build makes me love him even more. Though i do have one question. Do you replace each sword with the one you buy next or do you keep all of them? Because i noticed that unless i get rid of something, i can't use the sais.

At least you didn't say Sub Zero or Scorpion, amirite?

Sorry, I had to rush to update the build with the current patch. I usually drop golden blade for qin's late game if you're against heavy tank gods.

So i've been using bloodforge on him recently and I love the chain kills you can do with it, is it ok to build it earlier like 3rd or 4th item without losing too much damage early game?

I'm VERY new to smite and wanna get better with bakasura. I have no idea on builds (just yet) and wanna try this one but I'm confused of the order? If someone can list the order of the items 1-6 I would greatly appreciate it.

The build from the author is a Conquest jungle build.

Start is assassin’s blessing, tier 1 Katana, 1 health pot and 1 mana pot.

Build: Golden Blade, Ninja Tabi, Hastened Katana, Stone Cutting Sword, Ichaival, sell Assassin’s blessing and buy The Executioner. Sell Ninja Tabi lategame for Elixir Of Speed and Qin’s Sais.

Personally I would prioritise Qins over Ichaival though.

and all the item below are considered alternatives for mostly Ichaival (and technically also for executioner however I would not skip out on it)

Hey ! I've been using this build for a long time now and it is near perfect ! I just don't see any use to the ninja tabi, I just rush hastened instead and it works pretty well!
2
Kriega1 (143) | November 3, 2019 6:11am
Ninja tabi is because it got buffed a while ago, and the movement speed from the katana's were nerfed, and hastened katana also had it's price increased.

Ninja tabi is bought after golden blade in this author's build for the early game power spike.

I don't think Cupid is threat to baka but the rest seems pretty good to me.
Nice job!
