Bellona dashes forward and bashes with her shield, dealing damage and Slowing enemies. Bellona gains 1 Stack of block for each enemy god hit. Block absorbs all damage from a single Basic Attack and reflects a portion of the damage around her.

Bellona then makes Basic Attacks with sword and shield until she has not taken or dealt damage in the last 7s. Every 3 successful basic attacks she gains another Stack of block (max. 3).

Ability Type: Dash, Slow, Damage

Bellona summons a hammer and spins, hitting every enemy around her and then smashing forward in an overhand attack. Each enemy god hit in the spin increases the damage of the overhand attack.

Bellona now makes Basic Attacks with her hammer until she has not taken or dealt damage in the last 7s. Every hammer attack hits all enemies in melee range and only benefits from 33% of Bellona's total Lifesteal.

Ability Type: Circle, Damage

Builds are updated for Patch 7.3, "Grim Omens".

Why do you level Shield Bash so late? Wouldn't the block stacks be really helpful early game in Solo?

Vini_sds (13) | May 24, 2019 8:17am
By "so late", you mean only on level 4 or as my last priority in the leveling order?

If it's the former, it's because you're probably won't be boxing the opponent until after you get Berserker's Shield and that usually happens around level 5, so you won't get much use out of Shield Bash at the beginnning of the match. Bludgeon is better for pressure and wave clear.

If it's the latter, it's because the main usefulness from Shield Bash are the block stacks, and that doesn't change when leveling up the ability.

I kinda meant both but this makes sense. Thanks for explaining.

Yes, they could be helpful, and the minor mobility is something to consider, but in most cases, you're looking to be high pressure and clear wave asap. The 2nd point in bludgeon is big for the clear, and scourge 2nd is good cuz the low early healing is pretty important (and it hits the whole minion wave) , I'd say. So this is accurate IMO. Keep in mind this is just a suggestion. If you find you're getting pressured too much, you might pick up bash 3rd,concede lane for a minute, and start trying to push again when you hit 4.

Why is exe, stonecutting and qins in the build?

Vini_sds (13) | April 1, 2019 12:38pm
Looking back into it, I think I shouldn't made the example build with these items. But the choices still make sense.

Stone Cutting Sword goes very well with Bellona's passive. The Executioner is for helping physical allies by reducing enemies' protections (the same way magical solo laners build Spear of the Magus). Qin's Sais is there because I needed an Attack Speed item replacement for boots, and it goes well with The Executioner that's already in the build.

Also, you know I always look up to Deathwalker when it comes to solo builds, and he builds these items sometimes.

Need to list more situational items: Mantle, Oni Hunters, Shoguns, Bulwark, midgardian, emperors, Beatstick, masamune, shifters, stone cutting sword, magi's. Sprint, horrific, beads, (if your teammates need it agaisnt Odin and your support is an idiot - Phantom).

Don't like the Urchin third. Get physical defense or mystical if against a physical god in lane in that spot, and get urchin where you have mystical. Lategame you sell Beserker's shield for something like breastplate, mantle, void shield etc... Or Masamune and then sell boots for stone cutting for example.

Also change the start. get Round Shield, Chalice of Healing, 1 or 2 Healing Potion.

Looks good overall to me. Keep in mind that sometimes you're going to have a magical solo enemy...it's not like Berserker's Shield offers a lot of physical protection anyway, so you could still go that route, but in some cases you might want to start with Ancile or something.

Also, not sure but Hide of the Urchin might be in there a bit early. Yes, it helps for stacking the passive, so that's okay, but you might want earlier directed protection against your lane enemy before getting balanced protections. Just a thought.

Midgardian Mail should always be a situational item. You could further expand your situational items, or separate them a bit. Make them into offensive and defensive situational items...with the offensive ones providing some form of either power or pen...things like Void Shield and Masamune in that category, with pure protection items being in the defensive category.

Heavenly Wings should also be a listed relic, IMO.

You can still build Beserker's Shield into a magical matchup.

The main reason behind choosing Berserker's Shield is the sustain it provides, not the protections. It is a better starter item than Warrior's Blessing lol.

I've updated the build and added some explanations to the situational options. Let me know if I did it right.

I think Urchin third isn't that bad if you're ahead.
