Chernobog Build

Notes Relics of your choice, I use beads and aegis. Early game, you're going to wanna put some hp & mp pots in the pocket bc you'll be a little flimsy until levels 10/12.

Amazing Atk Spd, good crit% and a decent lifesteal. This loadout paired with Chern's passive allows you to murder even the tankiest God by throwing your 1,2 and hitting 3-5 basic attacks. Even if that doesn't kill them, do your three while they're evading and pop 2 or 3 basics and I promise you'll get the kill.

Chernobog's Skill Order Notes You'll want to maximize on Chern's stun by casting your 1 and shattering with your 2. Hit them with some basics and they'll more then likely try to evade. You can use you're regular 3 to catch up and try to get the final basics in if they're not dead already. Or, if you're really thirsty, after they break from the stun and evade, hit your ult then 3 to finish them off.

This Chern capitalizes on his passive, requires good aim & good use of his 3. You're gonna be relatively low hp early game, he also chugs mana early game, so keep some pots in the pocket. Once you get your items built, with his Atk Spd & lifesteal, you shouldn't need to worry ab the pots later in the game (lvl 14+).

Hi Brd,

I have a couple of comments:
  • Build: The full build in general covers most basic requirements...building for 50%+ crit chance, has some lifesteal, good power and reasonable AS keeping in mind his steroid. That said, while I get the concept here of getting more use out of his ability combos by adding CDR from Fail-Not, it seems a bit disjointed. Your pen for abilities is on the low side (10% only from Fail), while your basics get 20% once you crit. I would personally prefer higher base % pen.

While your lifesteal base is low w/ Atalanta's Bow, and I think you're looking to supplement that by adding Bloodforge late, I think replacing BF w/ Silverbranch Bow might do well. Less survivability but more effective against enemies and objectives. Of course, I'm thinking mainly of Conquest. If you're only playing teamfight modes, and you end up facing a pretty squishy enemy comp, this build should work fine.

One thing to consider with Chern is that he doesn't always want to ult in a fight. It's not a teamfight ult outside of chase or getting to a teamfight if you're farther away. You then get a bit less situational use out of Fail than others might. That's one reason I'd consider moving away from it. Not saying it won't work, just that I don't fully like the synergy there.

  • Alternate build: That said, I think the stacking items are better right now. You can make use out of either Devo's or Trans I think. The most common / meta build example right now I think is Devo's directly into Qin's Sais. You can then choose if you want to go crit (WD / Silver / DB) or not (O-Bow/Ich/Exe/Toxic/Crusher as options).

If you go Trans, you could go Asi/WD/Silver/DB or Asi/Qin's/Silver/O-Bow or Toxic or Crusher.

  • Skill leveling: I'd probably suggest just maxing your ult last. Don't know why you have a 2nd point into it at 14, just finish off at 17/18/19/20 IMO.

I'd also focus on maxing his 1 and 2 before putting any further points into his 3.
