Hello Ladies and Gentleman,
My IGN is Clutchmeister, i play Loki since 1 Year now. If you want to be effective with him you should focus on doing high burst damage at your first strike! (Cloak+Aimed Strike).
The thing is if you play loki, you are pretty much in the spotlight in Teamfights. That means you should really think twice if you want to initiate or try to attack an Enemy DamageDealer or even a Tank. Most enemies will hear your VANISH or see you disappearing, that means they are aware of you and they will try to protect eachother from you. The best thing you can do is being like a Shadow. Try to get the look over your enemies and try to avoid being seen. If you want to gank an Enemy, go in stealth mode before getting closer to him because he will hear the sound of the VANISH and instantly run away. So let me get this straight: 1. See the enemy and avoid being seen - 2. Enter stealth mode and get closer to him - 3. Activate your Aimed Strike and stab him into his butt. If he is still alive (What is nearly impossible) you can just finish him off with your Ultimate.
Thats the most important things you should know when you want to play Loki.
PS: This is my first guide ever, i hope you enjoy it! Feel free to give me tipps on how i could improve it!
[*] Transcendence
- This is your stacking Item! This little Baby will give you mana and Physical Power! Since Loki does consume alot of mana, this item is really good for him. It also converts 3% of your maximum mana into physical power!! I know that Heartseeker is much cheaper, but you will not lose your stacks if you die and you get much more physical power and (Most Important) MANAAAA! I personally prefer it since you can (and want to) use your abilitys as often as Lil Wayne says the N** Word! And that means ALOT. And what do you need to use your abilitys as often as Lil Wayne says the N** Word? Yes, ALOT OF MANA!
[*] Jotunn's Wrath
- This is your first Cooldown Item! It gives you penetration, cooldown, alot of power and mana! So basically its a perfect item for Lolololoki. Once you finished it you will feel alot more powerful and dangerous because of its benefits. The cooldown will help you to use your abilitys more often, so its alot easier to get out of Fights with your VANISH for example. It is indeed a must have on loki!
[*] Warrior Tabi
- This is a classic item for any physical DD out there. You will get movement speed, power and penetration of it. MUST HAVE!
[*] Hydras Lament
- Here it comes! BEST LOKI ITEM of all dem tymez! Hydras grants you 50!! Physical power! 15% Cooldown reduction! AND its passive is absolutely gorgeous!
PASSIVE = If you activate one of your abilitys, your next basic attack will do 50% of your total physical power as additional damage! So basically = FREE DAMAGE EVERY 4s!
Just active your stealth, get closer to the enemy, active your aiming strike and BOOM! Your first basic attack will instantly shredd the enemys HP to a minimum, you only need to finish him off now!
[*] Titans Bane
- This item will boost your damage TO THE SKY! Its a tanks worst nightmare, and combined with loki a tank will run home to his mama if he sees you! It grants you 30 Physical, and all of your attacks will get a 33% penetration boost!!! This can shredd trough every God in this game. Use it with caution.
[*] Witchblade
- This is your finishing item. The two main reasons to get this items are the 15% movement speed bonus and its awesome passive! All enemies withing a radius of 55 feet will have their attack speed reduced by 15% and their physical power reduced by 25. That means your enemy cant deal as much damage as they usually do when they are not near of you. This is good for gods like Mercury or PowerHouse warriors like Herc/Chaac. It also grants you 45 Physical defense but thats not important for you.
Pros
-Insane burst damage
-Super high mobility
-Can cloak himself
-Enemies will be scared if you are present
Cons
-Superduper Squishy
-Cant jump trough walls (Only if you waste his ultimate)
-Gets focused everytime
TEAMFIGHTS
You are like the pickle in a cheeseburger, you are there, but every enemy wants to get you out of here! They will for sure focus you if you are at the frontline like your tank! Stay in the shadows, wait for a good moment and finish off Low Hp gods or gods who are trying to escape. You can also instantly shredd an mage or other squishy gods if you do it right. But prepare yourself for angry enemys incoming.
That was my first guide on Smitefire! I hope you liked it and i hope it helped you to improve your loki gameplay.
Please tell me if there is anything i can improve on this and my future guides. I appreciate every critics you have for me (aslong as they help me :P)

And by the way Razorteeth funny how you stole my whole Guide and i reported you for that, thats why yours is gone bro? Got the screens and stuff you little Dirtbag.
Magi's Blessing is also, like Greenevers said, a great pickup as loki can be turned useless pretty fast if he gets zoned out after using Vanish
Just all in all, the guide is pretty good, just pretty outdated and definitely needs some work. But Take it from Greenevers, not me. He has the "Low-Key" god down to a science if you ask me.
On the build, you need to update it for season 2. At least on Hydra's Lament, you mention the old passive/power for it. It's definitely not as good getting early anymore. I'd get it last item after titans and magi's/witchblade if Nothing else is needed. Witchblade also doesn't have any more movement speed so I suggest going Heartseeker first item and then Transcendence last item if you want double stacks.
90% of the time I suggest that you get magi's blessing over Witchblade. I don't mind the item, it's just that magi's blessing is so better.
If you feel as though you need no cc negation at all (greater beads/magi's blessing) the teams and players you've been playing against don't know how to shut down Loki's. If you don't offer anything in a team fight, your team Will lose. Even if you focus just the squishies, the game if smite is more CC packed than most. Get stunned or silenced after using Vanish, you are a sitting duck.
You need cc immunity. One way or the other. You need it because of how easily Loki is dealt with if cc'd. A lot like other assassins which makes sense as most other assassins grab magi's blessing.
The build is good, but you do need to expand on the gameplay part of the guide. Especially in the solo lane, matchups can matter a whole amount. How to deal with warriors in the solo lane?
If you want additional help on the guide for anything, feel free to PM me or use my Loki guide as an example!
I do agree with the CC part, but as a good Loki you shouldnt even get CC'd. You should take down the weak ones and with this build you can do it in almost 2 seconds without them reacting to it :-)
CC can really shred Loki and using your ult to escape is sub-optimal.
I like the concept and I don't doubt it's effectiveness, but the best way to shut down Loki when he's shredding you is with CC.
I enjoyed the build a lot! Just a few tips I could give you is add BB code! Remember your reader could be brand new to the game so stating something like "Titans Bane" and risk them not knowing what the item is, vs. Titan's Bane the visual really does make a difference! I like the small amounts of highlights on useful terms. It is a proactive way of providing muscle memory to the viewer.
Also, for your "Items" Chapter, you have your list brackets showing!
Just my two cents as an experienced guide writer.
Best of luck, Gusher
