Welcome to my guide for Isis, the Egyptian goddess of magic!
I really love playing Isis and I think she's completely underrated. She's an extremely talented goddess with an amazing skill set and she can take on an entire team if she's played right.
I hope you enjoy this guide!
PROS:
Hard hitting abilities
Good minion clear
Can silence/stun enemies
Ult can deal tons of damage and heal teammates
Fantastic Passive that gives allies HP5 and MP5 and gives herself cooldown reduction
CONS:
No dependable getaway ability
Squishy
Requires a good sense of aim and timing for her second ability
Passive: Funeral Rites
Her passive makes her even more valuable to her team as she gives her team HP5 and MP5 and the amount she gives grows for every death that she witnesses (up to a radius of 80) topping at 20 HP5 and MP5 at max stacks (10). At max stacks, she also gains additional cooldown reduction. Finally, the third hit of her basic attack has a wider radius.
1. Wing Gust
This is your minion clear as well as your best getaway option. Isis flaps her wings four times sending wing gusts that pass through all targets, dealing damage to them. She is immune to root and knockback during the duration.
2. Spirit Ball
This is where most of Isis's damage comes into play. Isis fires a spirit ball that does more damage the further it travels. She can also activate it early. If an enemy is hit, they are stunned for one second. At max range, it will have gained 1.5x power. This ability is all about aim and timing. It is extremely easy to dodge if you're trying to hit someone at max range because it's not like its really hard to see, it's a giant ball of magical power and most people move out of the way. If you want to make the most out of it, use this ability when an enemy is distracted by a teammate or is rooted/stunned/etc. It is also helpful to use if an enemy is in close range and you need to get away. Use it and activate it early to stun them and then skedaddle. Spirit Ball can also go through walls, so you can use it to get off a cheeky stun and damage and follow up with Wing Gust. It also works well with her third ability, which I'll get into now.
3. Dispel Magic
Isis silences enemies at a target location, and they also lose a portion of magical protections and are slowed for a duration. Allies hit by this ability gain magical protection. This ability works great with Spirit Ball. I like to pop Spirit Ball, then while they are stunned, use Dispel Magic so they can't use an ability to run away and they have less magical protections. Finally, follow up with Wing Gust to take them out or deal more damage. It's also great if you want to stop an ability such as Ymir's freeze ability. If you know it's coming, you can stop them from using it, then stun them with Spirit Ball, then get away with Wing Gust.
4. Circle of Protection
Isis's ultimate can be devastating if you get the chance to charge it up completely. Isis plants her staff at a target location for 5 seconds. Allies within the radius take less damage and any damage that is dealt with in the radius charge up the staff. If Isis activates the staff again, enemies inside take damage and allies inside are healed.
This ability is best used during team fights. If there's a huge crowd of gods doing damage to each other, plop down your ultimate to get the free damage charge and then explode it to deal tons of damage and turn the tides on the battle, or just finish off a few gods. Unfortunately, you'll hardly ever get it fully charged, as most people get out of the radius before it gets fully charged. However, it still has tons of other uses. It heals allies, gives a damage reduction, and it can be used to finish off enemies who are trying to get away at low health.

Isis solo i've seen played by SoloOrTroll and Deathwalker on stream I think.
Here's what I would do for the starter build if you're building chronos' pendant and divine ruin: Mage's Blessing, Lost Artifact, 2 health pots and 2 mana pots.
Here's what I would do for the starter build if you're building spear of desolation and soul gem: Mage's Blessing, Magic Focus, 1 health pot and 2 mana pots.
For the example build: Shoes of the Magi, Spear of Desolation, Soul Gem, Obsidian Shard, Soul Reaver, Rod of Tahuti.
Alternatively, you can swap spear of deso for chronos' pendant and swap soul gem for divine ruin. (remember that Isis' passive gives 10% cdr so you only need 20% cdr in your build max (due to Isis passive when stacked and 500 gold magical power pot).
Now if you do want book of the dead in your build I would go something like this: Book of Thoth, Shoes of Focus, Spear of Desolation, Obsidian Shard, Soul Reaver, Book of the Dead.
If you want Doom Orb in your build I would probably swap Tahuti for it.
Also Nemian should never be built on squishies outside of duel, and Ancile cannot be built on Isis because it's an item for physical gods only. If you want a basic attack counter outside of duel you're better off getting midgardian mail, as nemian lion won't save you against crits unless the enemy has no pen in their build.
I would remove meditation as a relic option, and if this guide/builds is not for arena, then I would like to see Bracer removed as well. You could add blink as an option if you wish.
As for the correct ability levelling order use this video as reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfKWXTs7nrA
And add bancrofts talon as an alternative item choice.
