Silverbranch Bow

Notes Gives you incredibly strong tank damage with Cocoon and Silverbranch Bow synergy.
With Coccoon late game, you reach the maximum amount of stacks given by Silverbranch Bow. For this reason, we built Serrated Edge, despite it giving no attack speed.
Mantle of Discord is an optional replacement Odysseus' Bow, which hurts your damage but gives you survivability.

This build deals more tank damage if the enemies build Spectral Armor, but lacks the CDR of the crit build.

Crit build

Notes Despite the weird look, this is definitively the best Arachne jungle build and beats the others by a mile.

Sekhmet's Scepter will proc from your Venomous Bite, which reduces your cooldowns by 3 seconds minimum each time you hit an enemy. With 40% Cooldown, (late game Potion of Power gives 10% CDR) this means the cooldown of Cocoon is not 8.4 seconds, but 5.4 seconds thanks to Sekhmet's Scepter. It will get further reduced if you keep fighting, but also reduced by Malicious Deathbringer for 1 second every auto attack.

Long story short, your Cocoon is up almost instantly after use, allowing a 2 stun CC chain with massive attack speed stims.

Optional Items

Notes Mantle of Discord gives you a stronger 1v1, and makes you hard to punish in a team fight.

Spectral Armor is a powerful counter item to crit. Is worth building if the enemy jungler builds crit, as you will almost always win the 1v1 with it.

Introduction

Hey, my name is AutoSpeed and I have been a Grandmaster + 3500 (MMR cap) in Conquest, Joust, and Duel in every recent season. I'm happy to share my knowledge of the game with everyone, and I appreciate any and all feedback!

Here are my channels:

Arachne Basics

Arachne's Abilities

Passive - Predator

Arachne's basic attacks do extra damage to enemies with missing health.

Predator scales with the amount of missing health and gives Arachne an additional edge in combat, encouraging her to build auto attack items.

Ability 1 - Venomous Bite

Arachne's next basic attack deals additional damage, dealing damage over time, reducing the enemy's healing, and healing Arachne over a short duration.

Venomous Bite is Arachne's main damaging ability, which damages the enemy while also healing her. Use it every time you fight an enemy, and also when you need to heal off of a jungle camp.

Ability 2 - Cocoon

Arachne increases her attack speed for the next 4 seconds. If her next 2 basic attacks hit the same target, they become stunned.

Cocoon is one of the best 1v1 abilities in the game, and is combined with Venomous Bite to punish anyone up close.

Ability 3 - Web

Arachne shoots a web forwards. If it hits an enemy god, 3 spiders are summoned and will chase after them.

The affected god leaves a trail, revealing themselves to Arachne, slowing them and granting Arachne movement speed and slow immunity.

If it does not hit a god or minion, it remains stationary as a deployable, which activates upon contact with an enemy god. Arachne can place up to 3 Webs.

Ultimate - Night Crawler

Arachne leaps to the air, becoming un-targetable and gaining increased movement speed.

She wander around, eventually choosing to land and deal damage in a circular radius, spawning a massive Web trail. She can activate Venomous Bite and Cocoon while mid-air.

Night Crawler is Arachne's gap closer, but is very crucial for escaping combat. She can choose to run away, or to let her cooldowns reset and land on the enemies and re-engage.

Ability Rotations:

Melee Damage:

Web > Venomous Bite > Cocoon > Auto Attacks

If in trouble:

Night Crawler > Venomous Bite > Cocoon > Night Crawler > Auto Attacks > Web

Ability Tips
Cocoon is your way of dealing damage without getting hit in return, but it can only be done within Melee range. Night Crawler and Blink Rune are important tools to allow you to CC the enemy without loosing health as you get close

If you have Blink Rune and Night Crawler up, always use Blink Rune first. By saving Night Crawler, we can use it to disengage from the fight freely, or to catch up to the enemies after they dash away.

Jungle Tutorial

Early Game:
  • Star at the Fire Giant side Speed Buff (or Red Buff), and group up the jungle camps with your mid laner. Once the Red and Speed buff jungle camps are cleared together, head towards your remaining speed buff. Your mid laner should help you clear this buff camp. Finally, head towards the exp camp near the Tier 1 Mid tower, presume you will clear this alone.

  • You now have 2 choices. You can stay in the Jungle towards the mid lane, looking for a gank on the enemy mid laner or clear the Mid-Harpies. The second option is to head straight to duo lane, and look for a gank on the enemy duo lane (and clear Scorpion). Heading to Duo lane has a greater risk, but much greater reward if successful.

  • Arachne has a powerful fight against gods in the early game, but lacks an escape. If you see someone alone in the jungle you will almost always pressure the 1v1, but watch out for them retreating into their team.

  • Your priorities are: Buff Camps > Rotations > Harpies

  • You have powerful rotations with Web, as it is one of the best chasing abilities in the game. If you have Blink Rune up, look to lurk near a lane for an opportunity. Sometimes you can lurk and corner camp the enemy jungler, which is especially true once you've unlocked your first item.

Mid Game:
  • Begins around ~14 minutes, or when most people have hit Level 12 and unlocked their Second Relic. Most enemy teams have gotten around to warding by now, and team fights become increasingly common. Most builds have started to show effectiveness.

  • While you lack distance, you have one of the best commits in the game. Look to Blink Rune on the enemy backline, and force their hand. If you have a choice on who to hit, the enemy mage is usually the easier kill.

  • In-between fights, ganks on the enemy ADC are effective as they are often alone. They are your best option for pressure, outside of looking for buff invades.

  • Enemy junglers will try to play counter, and will hit you once you go in. Save your ultimate Night Crawler for this reason, as you can ignore the enemies collapsing on you while also wasting their time. You can then choose to run away, or to land and commit even further.

Late Game:
  • Almost everybody has hit Level 20, Fire Giant is the most important objective on the map. Starter items become unlocked at Level 20, which results in a damage/defensive spike. This means that everybody dies faster, and Team Fights are the most important thing.

  • During Fire Giant fights, you become one of the strongest boxers in the game. Look to fight the enemy jungler in the 1v1, as you are one of the strongest late game boxers. Corner camping is very effective, and do so whenever you can.

  • When it comes to the team fight, wait for your solo laner to initiate, and blnk onto the backline with the space he creates.

  • When you are in a Siege Fight, try to split push the Mid Phoenix. You have a get-out-of-jail free card with Night Crawler, which means you can play aggressive on the enemy jungler with Blink Rune. You win almost all of the 1v1s, and should play aggressively.

Warding

Green = Early/Rotational wards, you don't go out of your way to place these wards. Place them while already in the area, they are used to prevent blind spots while you rotate. They also double as objective wards

Blue = Late game wards, you want to place them as high as possible without getting caught by the enemy doing so. They cut off chokepoints on the enemies side, which lets you know which side of the map they are on. Good wards for a Fire Giant fight

If you find yourself at an enemy buff camp, feel free to drop a ward for the timer if you plan on coming back!

It is very important to recognize which side of the map enemies are on. If you see the enemy jungler on the solo side, recognize they could counter-rotate if you try to play on that side of the map. On the flip side, it means you are free to rotate on the Gold-Fury side of the map!

Final Advice

Arachne is my main character, and my #1 favorite god in smite. You can catch me playing her frequently, and she is one of the most independent characters in all of smite. I hope you learned a thing or two about her playstyle, and feel free to ask me personally any questions you may still have.

This crit build is very good, felt overpowered (just the way I like it) a the end of an Arena test.

I had a few alternate builds I worked out that use aspects of it, especially Sekmet's scepter. I had thought about adding Malicious Deathbringer for the CD reduction, but never made it happen. The synergy with 30% CD, Sekmet's, and Deathbringer is crazy. This way you get fixed CD even without having to hit your 1.
