Introduction

Hey, my name is AutoSpeed and I have been a Grandmaster + 3500 (MMR cap) in Conquest, Joust, and Duel in every recent season. I'm happy to share my knowledge of the game with everyone, and I appreciate any and all feedback!

Here are my channels:

Camazotz Basics

Camazotz's Abilities

Passive - Essence Drinker

Camazotz gains flat passive lifesteal and healing. Whenever a enemy or ally god dies, they leave behind a pool which Camazotz can stand in, replenishing his health and mana.

Essence Drinker gives sustain to Camazotz, and is noticeable after a team fight. One of the reasons he may feel oppressive in the mid-game.

Ability 1 - Screech

Camazotz screeches, sending out a sound wave which passes through enemies but stops at the first enemy god hit, damaging them. Upon impact, the sound wave will ricochet, if Camazotz intercepts the rebound, he gains increased physical power and vision of the enemy god, even through stealth.

Screech is used on CD to clear camps and damage gods, as the power buff is beneficial to keep active whenever possible.

Ability 2 - Vampire Bats

Camazotz throws out a swarm of bats, damaging an enemy for a large amount. This ability lingers, reducing the enemies healing received, movement speed, and dealing damage over time.

The bats then return to Camazotz, healing him for a flat amount. If used on specific jungle camps, Camazotz gains a vampirism buff that provides bonus lifesteal and healing.

Ability 3 - Devour

Camazotz leaps forward, doing damage and healing for each enemy hit.

Devour is used to engage or disengage from combat, and is very strong at dodging enemy abilities. Use it aggressively in the 1v1!

Ultimate - Bat Out of Hell

Camazotz flies into the air, and may swoop down up to 3x to deal damage to enemies. He is unhittable, and hitting multiple gods at once increases the damage dealt.

Bat Out of Hell is used to hit enemies while being unhittable, and is a core component to Camazotz's dive.

Ability Rotations:

Long Range Poke:

Screech > Vampire Bats

Melee Combat:

Screech > Auto Attack > Vampire Bats > Auto Attack

Blink Initiation:

Blink Rune > Vampire Bats > Devour > Auto Attack > Bat Out of Hell

Deals damage while being difficult to hit, commonly used late game.

If you need to dodge enemy abilities, use Devour earlier at any point in the combos Bat Out of Hell is used the second enemies turn on you, no sooner or later.

Jungle Tutorial

Early Game:
  • Star at the Fire Giant side Speed Buff (or Red Buff), and group up the jungle camps with your mid laner. Once the Red and Speed buff jungle camps are cleared together, head towards your remaining speed buff. Your mid laner should help you clear this buff camp. Finally, head towards the exp camp near the Tier 1 Mid tower, presume you will clear this alone.

  • You now have 2 choices. You can stay in the Jungle towards the mid lane, looking for a gank on the enemy mid laner or clear the Mid-Harpies. The second option is to head straight to duo lane, and look for a gank on the enemy duo lane (and clear Scorpion). Heading to Duo lane has a greater risk, but much greater reward if successful.

  • Camazotz has a strong level 2, with two long ranged abilities and Blink Rune to close the gap. Harass the enemies from afar, or blink on them if you find an opportunity.

  • Wander the map with a farming priority of Buff Camps > Rotations > Harpies.

  • Camazotz has powerful early ganks, use your Devour aggressively to chase after enemies. Supports and solos usually do not have immunities for the slow from Vampire Bats, which makes them easy kills.

  • Once you've unlocked your first item, you may be able to solo the enemy jungler, as Camazotz is one of the most aggressive junglers and capable of doing so.

Mid Game:
  • Begins around ~14 minutes, or when most people have hit Level 12 and unlocked their Second Relic. Most enemy teams have gotten around to warding by now, and team fights become increasingly common. Most builds have started to show effectiveness.

  • Group up for the team fights. When choosing a target, choose the enemy jungler or the enemy mage. Whichever one pushes up first should be your focus, the enemy mage struggles to escape, but hitting the enemy jungler prevents them from diving your team, which creates more space for your backliners to follow up.

  • Your goal in fights is to have the enemies turn and commit abilities onto you, and then you use Bat Out of Hell to avoid the pressure, while still attacking. You can land and keep attacking afterwards, or fly away and disengage.

Late Game:
  • Almost everybody has hit Level 20, Fire Giant is the most important objective on the map. Starter items become unlocked at Level 20, which results in a damage/defensive spike. This means that everybody dies faster, and Team Fights are the most important thing.

  • At Fire Giant fights, you fight the exact same as the Gold Fury fights, except you should expect to ult right away. Enemies do much more damage now, and while you still do damage, you will get out DPS'd by enemy backliners. That doesn't change the overall menace you will be with Bat Out of Hell, it just means you need to use it sooner. You can land and finish the enemies off, or escape with Devour. Fighting the enemy jungler is still a good option, as you are very safe and they usually lack ranged abilities.

  • During a siege fight, you can split push or group push a single phoenix with your team. Camazotz excels at both of these, and it all comes down to which team has bigger AOE abilities. You have excellent dive, and the choice of who to dive.

Warding

Green = Early/Rotational wards, you don't go out of your way to place these wards. Place them while already in the area, they are used to prevent blind spots while you rotate. They also double as objective wards.

Blue = Late game wards, you want to place them as high as possible without getting caught by the enemy doing so. They cut off chokepoints on the enemies side, which lets you know which side of the map they are on. Good wards for a Fire Giant fight.

Final Advice

Camazotz is a hyper aggressive early-game jungler, who uses his vampiric powers to sustain and keep up the pressure. You have incredible run-down abilities, and are very safe while still being an aggressive god. He is a menace to play against, and a reliable character to consider picking up. I hope you picked up a few pieces of knowledge from this guide!
