Hades is an utility mage meaning that he is not necessarily made for doing high damage to enemy gods(Even though he can be spooky). Hades 1 ability can be used to both escape and to engage. Hades 2 ability is a silence which is very useful when used with his other abilities. Hades 3 ability is a staff pound that deals damage in a small circle around him it can heal both you and teammates(If they're close enough). Hades 4 ability makes a large circle where hades is standing and starts drawing in enemies who are in range of the circle which constantly damages them while they are inside it. Hades passive is blight which applies new affects to his abilities blight can be applied to enemies with an ability or a basic attack. Hades basic combo is engaging on top of an minion wave or enemy god with his 1 then silencing them with his 2 which also applies blight then use your 3 ability to both heal and heavily damage the enemy. With Hades 4 ability or his ult you want to do his combo pop thorns then pop it if you have a decent amount of health and 2 or more enemies are in range. Hades needs to coordinate with his team before using his ult since most other ults and abilities can be stacked on it.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

Otherwise, try this build (I'm assuming this isn't for conquest or assault):
Shoes of the Magi
Spear of Desolation for some cooldowns and high early penetration for damage
Breastplate of Valor
Void Stone
Bancroft's Talon
Divine Ruin
Get Bancroft's Talon earlier if you don't want to rush penetration and you want some lifesteal, because you'll be vulnerable with your Pillar of Agony.
