Hello guys and welcome to a new guide, this time I'll face young surferguy He Bo. Excuse me for this guide maybe not looking so good from layout and stuff, cause I am not really used to these codes, and for sure I only know a small bit of what is actually possible. That's why I am asking you to read the guide, although it might look like a car accident.
But now to the mainpoint: Who is He Bo and how do you play him.
Steady Flow
Each time He Bo uses a power, he gains the Steady Flow buff which increases his magical power by 10% for 5 seconds. The timer refreshes when another power is used. This effect can stack up to 3 times.
This basicly means spamming leads to win.
Water Cannon
He Bo fires a short burst of water from his sleeves, damaging enemies in a cone for 90/145/200/255/310 (+90% of your magical power) magical damage.
Cost: 40/50/60/70/80 mana.
Cooldown: 3 s.
Look at this Cooldown and say it's not spam. This deals insane damage, going on an AP build with full
Passive up to 1.2k Magical Damage without problems.
flood waters Flood Waters
A river of water bursts forward from He Bo's sleeves, causing enemies to move 20/25/30/35/40% slower and Allies to move 20/25/30/35/40% faster, while in the river.
River lifetime: 7s.
Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana.
Cooldown: 10 s.
This gives you a good amout of mobility, even if the skill is only on level 1. It slows the enemy by a really good amount and gives you a stack for your
Passive.
Waterspout
He Bo funnels water into the ground, continuing to control it to burst out of the ground with tremendous force at the location he chooses, doing 80/130/180/230/280 (+85% of your magical power) magical damage to all enemies in the area, knocking them into the air and slowing them by 25% for 2 seconds.
Cost: 70/80/90/100/110 mana.
Cooldown: 10 s.
Great to harass in early game, and a good way to engage and finish off enemys at low Health.
Note: When the enemy is moving while hit from
Waterspout he gets knocked into the direction he ran when he got hit.
Crushing Wave
He Bo transforms into a wave and crashes forward, damaging all enemies in his path for 370/450/530/610/690(+115% of your magical power).
Cost: 100 mana.
Cooldown: 90 s.
A powerful Ultimate with insane scaling that can hit for 2k damage very easy with an AP build.
Note: This also gives you CC Immunity for the Duration so you can evade, e. g. Ares' Ultimate, but be careful, you travel with the wave, so make sure you don't put your self in the middle of a tower or something like that.
As He Bo you want to try to keep up your passive.
To kill someone you can do something like that:
flood waters ->
->
->
This means:
1 Stack from each skill, so you use your Ultimate at full Passive.
For harrasment in early game use you
Waterspout and for wave clearing your
Watercannon and if necassary your
Waterspout.
If you want to get an early kill, and I am sure you want, you can use the Combo from above, but make sure you try to get some creeps with your Ultimate as well, because you maybe finish off your enemy, but the creeps do a lot of damage to He Bo in early game.
Vampiric Shroud
A Must-Have for every mage. It helps you to keep your self alive and prevents you from running out of mana quickly.
Boots of the Magi
Another Must-Have for nearly every mage. Movement Speed, a good amount of Power and Penetration and Mana.
warlock's sash Warlock's Sash
A good base amount of surviveability and Magical Power and a lot of Health if stacked to the max.
Void Stone
A good amount of Protection and Power, but important for close range nukers, because of the Penetration Aura.
Spear of the Magus
The Penetration Item for you. He Bo is a spammer so this item fits perfectly for him. It has fixed flat Penetration and Magical Power, but gets extra Penetration if you use 3 skills after another, so great for Penetration in your killing-combo.
Ethereal Staff
Not only that this gives you a base amount of surviveability, no it converts 2% of you maximum Health into Magical Power. This means just from the
Ethereal Staff and warlock's sash Warlock's Sash combo you get 1.1k Health and 102 Magical Power (He Bo natural Health not included).
Gem of Isolation
I don't think there is anything to say but, surviveability, Power and slows.
Rod of Tahuti
Insane MP5 so that you shouldn't run out of Mana anymore and insane Magical Power making you even more dangerous.
Wall of Absolution
A great item for casters that have to deal with AD carrys. The Protections you get from this item are really good and it gives you Power and MP5 along with it.
Obsidian Shard
Power and good Percentage Penetration, tbh. nothing to add.
Bancroft's Talon
The Lifesteal can help you out, but i think you all know that Magical Lifesteal is not that great. But the Power that is inside this item is insane. The Passive helps every squishy mage out to hit like a truck.
The Start:
If you Start, start off with
Vampiric Shroud and Rank one of
Boots. I know you can only Carry one Pot, but that's ok. Take the
Mana Pot and Encourage your team to help you with the Red Buff. You Want it to clear waves beter in early game, because He Bo's first 3 levels are really hard in terms of waveclearing. Be careful about invades on your red, i had the problem in a competetive match once to only keep the eyes on one baiting so chekc the other sides and maybe behind the wall of the buff for tanks and other people that help you with the invade. If they don't want to help you try to get at least the Blue Buff for some Sustain in Lane, or if it' even worse only Speed or Goldbuff, ans seriously don't take the Speed Buff it self, leave it for someone else. Now go into your lane and play passive until you can Waveclear good.
Early Game
This is the time where you still play careful, but look for an opportunity to kill your Opponent. He Bo can be played Mid and Left so make sure your team Comp works so if you play left, get someone who can save your life and help you to secure kills. If you are playing mid, and that's what i am concentrating here, try to kill someone with the killing-combo from above and recall after you got your kill, you can use this time to buy stuff.
Mid Game:
If you haven't steamrolled by this time you have done something wrong or you got a horrible team. If you have problems make sure to get your lanecreeps and then try to take a Jungle Camp and go back to lane. That's how you can farm up best and play passive. Also make sure to gank a bit at the start of the mid game. That can often help you out to steam roll even harder.
Late Game:
If this even happens you got to be careful. The enemys are farming up now so they get more dangerous for you again. Make sure to help you team with pushing and things like that to finish it asap, because the time is your friend in early to mid game, but is your scariest nightmare in late game.
Thank you for reading this guide. Feel free to rate this guide as you wish, but make sure to leave a comment if you rated. I need this reflection to see what is good and what i could improve. And maybe you can give me some tips how to do some things with this codes.
Thanks for leaving a comment and rating already and see ya ingame maybe :D
May the Thunder be with you
