Gleaming Blast / Threads of Light

1 X
Gleaming Blast: Ix Chel fires a blast of gleaming light ahead of her dealing damage, piercing minions, and stopping on the first enemy god hit. Minions and Jungle Camps take an extra +40% damage. Hitting an enemy causes this ability to change.

Threads of Light: Ix Chel weaves together strands of light which fully illuminate after a short delay damaging enemies in their path. Enemies facing the strands as they illuminate are Blinded for 1s. Enemies hit by the tip of the field, where all the strands meet, take bonus damage. On fire, this ability turns back into Gleaming Blast and the cooldown begins.

Ability Type: Line, Damage (Area, Crowd Control, Damage)
Blast Damage: 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 (+40% of your Magical Power)

Hey Frosticles,

I had to laugh at the title. I hope you don't mind but I embedded a YouTube video in your build =)

Would also like to comment on the build as it's not currently in a form I'd recommend to people.
  • When you go with Sands/Pendulum, strongly recommend not going with Chronos' Pendant. While having 40 (almost 50% due to the passive) CDR is nice, I think you're lacking enough in other stats that you should prioritize a bit differently.

  • We can probably assume that Divine Ruin will provide some function, but that's not ALWAYS the case. With lifesteal being weakened and general healing of all types being nerfed, you might find it's not, in which case it would be good if you could suggest an alternative item to switch out.

  • You're completely lacking in % pen. While this has also been nerfed in the latest patch, it's still a very functional stat and the fact you don't have ANY is concerning. Charon's Coin would be functional. Rod of Tahuti is another. Staff of Myrddin could be okay if you want % pen and some CDR (to get you to 30% w/ Pendulum after you drop Chronos).

  • If you felt the need to go with a bit of protections (which people have been doing recently), you could consider Lotus Sickle maybe. If facing a majority physical gods, you could opt to drop Sands, go Gem and grab Breastplate. Note these are very situational but things you can consider.

  • Other items that are functional...
    - Doom Orb: you could opt for this instead of Thoth. The added MS is helpful especially since she doesn't have an escape.
    - Spear of Desolation: another CDR item that you would slot in, in place of Divine Ruin probably.
    - Spear of the Magus: for improved group damage and % pen.

  • At the start of a match, Beads is typically picked up before Aegis.

Absolutely love the feedback with this, currently in process of fully learning to build everything and just had to refresh after the latest update. I have mainly been putting the build on here for myself as i find it more pleasing to read for me when moving into matches and this was just a build that seemed to work well for me in a couple of matches. I will look into swapping certain items in following matches to see how they cooperate and if it's okay with you to change them in this build :)

Hi Frosticles,

Excellent. My item suggestions are just those, suggestions. This is your build so you are free to present as you see fit, whether it's with some of my recommendations or not. But I do hope my explanations will help. Will be curious if you want to share feedback as you experiment!
