This build aims to unleash Kali late potential. It based on default Kali's property: weak at early game and one of the strongest assasins in late.
Your first priority to do Golden Blade - this item let us to get a crazy farm speed, additional effectivness at the gank, crazy lane push speed for a mid game, and penta kill potential at the late!
I think is jungle starters are doubtful at the moment, and by my tests - the builds in which you sell your starter will still be in the meta.
So in this build I'll give u some alternatives)
Sadly, it's only jungler starter which may be useful in late. Base build basics in that item, so, it really great stats, buff your base attacks, and giving the biggest damage per hit. But you sacrifice some attack speed or penetration.
Remember that Kali weak at early game, but the longer the stronger we are?
So you need to remember about it: till 5 lvl u won't gank!
Like an assasin it is your main relic for caughting your victims.
Default when there is a risk of strong spells.
If your enemies have dangerous control spells, and you are doubt at your skill, you may pick it first. Or build it second in case of dangerous mass-control spells like No Escape.
Will help scare off the enemy if you fell like berserker.
Bracer of undoing
Very situational item, if you don't used to it, better not use.
After disputes about Qin Sais, i did some calculations based on calculations of Devampi (thank him for that). I have tested 5 combinations on tiny Chaak (2350hp, 113 phys. protection) and tank Chaak (3450hp, 246 phys. protection). The criteria were simple: damage per hit, and time of kill.

You are so wrong if you think it doesn't work, I've used this build every time I've played Kali this season and I've absolutely destroyed, 20+ kills almost every game.
I very much vouch for this build, I commend OP for making this.
I've seen crit Thanatos, Hercules, Chaac, and others, and I've seen them "work well." This has more to do with favorable matchups, higher comparative skill level to the competition - or other reasons - than it is for being the most effective or preferred build. If you're running a smurf account, or are just highly skilled, you can make a variety of non-optimal things work.
Basically, TL;DR, there are very valid reasons for not going crit on Kali, but you can still do a lot of damage with this.
Try first if u have no arguments)
Any time an attack chain has values below 1.0, it gets better effect from Qin's Sais as you're getting more procs of the passive. This is a core item for Kali because of that, and those that understand attack chains and item interactions will always build Qin's on her.
This isn't to say that she can't do good damage with crit items, but that's sort of like saying any god building crits can do good damage.
So unfortunately, Zahar1CH, this build direction isn't suggested, and while Kriega may be short in his comment, he's also correct. As an FYI, you're also lacking any significant penetration. The Executioner is likely your best option for that as well, and it's nowhere to be seen in your build.
It's not about attack speed...it's about how the attacks interact in a game situation. In practice, are you attacking the no prot Odin bots? Or are you also looking at how you damage a bot adjusted with protections? You do realize that at level 20, the squishiest enemies with no protection items still have around 60-70 physical protection, right? These scale up per level. Your crits are going to suffer with no pen, and Qin's will have better function due to the passive against higher health enemies.
assuming you're targetting a squishy with 75 prot and that 1 auto every 10 autos won't crit, your average damage per AA: 206
assuming you're targeting a tank with 250 prot and that 1 auto every 10 autos won;t crit, your average damage per AA: 120
Now for a qin's build (after bots is sold) with the same amount of power, pen and attack speed (items used Manikin Hidden Blade, Heartseeker, Asi, Qin's Sais and Golden Blade 'blank') I did use only a lvl 20 odin bot so qin's numbers are slightly off.
on a squishy with 75 prot qin's hitting for 32. average damage per AA: 127 (including qins damage)
on a tank with 250 prot qin's hitting for 19. average damage per AA: 75 (including qins damage)
Now it seems that your right, crit does more damage. However, there is one thing we didn't consider. I still have an additional item slot. let's plop in The Executioner and I have a 25% AS advantage on you and the 28% prot shred and 35 power.
This allows my autos to hit for 166 and 103. Still lower then the crit but in DPS they come a lot closer (412 vs 374 and 241 vs 231) and if someone has higher hp than the odin bot or more prot this gap closes.
And then I am talking raw AAs no other benefits for your allies and no power progression, the latter being more important as most of the game is played without a finished build. The qins build will be a ton more reliable as you still need to gain % crit to make your crit % to 90 percent for that DPS making it lower than the qin's build in reality. And might even be lower DPS if I actually use a better qin's build instead of matching your late game power.
let's compare DPS vs 75 prot:
123-164-275-345 ( Rage- Asi- Deathbringer-hidden blade)
156-199-298-451 (qins- Asi- The Executioner- hidden blade)
dps vs 250 prot
71-93-158-200 (rage etc.)
93-114-179-272 (qins etc.)
you see the difference now. as long as you haven't reached that 90% crit a qin's build is out DPSing because of its consistency and higher attack speed. It is also making me wonder if I made a calculation error in the post above or that it's just because I decided to match power by throwing a random Heartseeker in there.
But, instead of alternatives +80 to base attack from starter it's cool boost and u don't need to worry about chain, when ur crit ~cap. 90%
