Hello! I am MysticBadger and I have a lot of Jungle and Support experience in League of Legends. My favorite jungler in LoL is Shaco, who plays very similarly to Loki. I haven't been playing Smite for very long, but the general concept of jungling is almost identical in both games.
I love feedback and suggestions, so if there's something you disagree with in my guide, leave a comment instead of just downvoting. This is my first guide, but I want to make a perfect guide on Loki for everyone :)
I will be updating this more as I learn more about Loki and jungling in general, as well as when i have more free time.
Note: This guide is based off my personal playstyle of Loki. There are many ways to play him, but this is my personal favorite.
Loki is a high-damage nuking assassin. In my opinion, he is one of the best gods in the game. The purpose of this guide is to teach you a little bit more about how to play
Loki and how to jungle him efficiently.
Early Game
His main goal in the early game is to provide intense map pressure by ganking lanes that are pushed. You want to spend most of your time roaming and ganking for your lanes. When you can't, secure a buff or two and help either mid or your solo lane push. |
Mid Game
This is when teamfighting begins. Here, you want to quickly assassinate their squishiest member to turn the fight in your favor. After you succeed, quickly get out, and regroup with your team. |
Late Game
Hopefully by now your team is strong enough to push a lane and hold their own. This is the time for you to split-push another lane. This adds incredible map pressure, and soon they'll have to come deal with you, letting the rest of your team to push for free. |
Pros
+ Incredible damage output + decoy can tank tower shots + Can heavily pressure the map + Good Pusher / Splitpusher + ![]() ![]() + Chaining a full combo is most often a guaranteed kill |
Cons
- Can be hard to come back if you get really behind - Often focused in teamfights - Somewhat squishy - High skillcap - Messing up your combo can put you in bad situations |
Passive: Behind You!
Decoy |
Loki spawns a decoy version of himself that taunts all nearby enemy minions. After a short time, the decoy explodes dealing damage to all enemies in the radius. Damage: 90/155/220/285/350 (+80% of your physical power) Decoy Lifetime: 3s Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 Cooldown: 14s |
Aimed Strike |
Upon activation, Loki's next basic attack does additional damage with a short time. The enemy hit is also slowed. Damage: 60/100/140/180/220 (+100% of your physical power) Buff LIfetime: 5s Slow: 25% Slow Duration: 3s Cost: 50 Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8s |
When ganking with Loki there's really only 2 combos you'll use.
The Standard (almost guaranteed kill):
-> Aimed Strike ->
-> Auto Attacks
The Other (not guaranteed kill):
-> Aimed Strike -> Auto Attacks ->
(where
is used as a gap closer for them running away)
So whats the real difference between these 2 combos?
The first is more of a safe way to gank, while the other is a bit more risky. With the standard gank, it puts you right behind them, stuns them, and guarantees damage from your Vanish bleed and Aimed Strike buff.
The other combo is more for when you are ganking someone who can escape you after your initial appearance, such as Neith. Waiting to use Assassinate can help you stick to your target better and make sure they don't get away. The downside is that it will not contribute to your initial burst, so it's better to use this combo against an underfed opponent or someone who is naturally squishy.
Starting Items
I have done quite a bit of experimenting with starting items and to me, it seems this is the most efficient route. If there's a more efficient start, by all means let me know in a comment :)

Taking these early on will help you clear the jungle camps by giving you increased attack speed and physical power. They will also build into ![]() |

Taking ![]() |

Pretty self-explanatory. This heals you up in the jungle so you can clear more camps. |

The ![]() |

This item helps you shred even tanky gods' health. This helps towards mid and late game when other gods are getting more items too. With the passive of ![]() |

Late game is when gods like![]() |
![]() |
This is a massive power spike in your build. With this paired with all previous items, you'll be able to melt everyone. Because your attack speed is so high with all the other items, the ![]() ![]() |
These things are what I plan to add in the future. If you have any requests, let me know in the comments!

Build
Eh... Fatalis on Loki is a bad item in general since he gains very little benefit from attack speed compared to getting pure power, especially when Loki is a god who relies on dealing massive damage with one basic attack.
Not to mention you get
Item Explanations
This is where the flaws in your build begin to show. I can replace
So yeah, I think it's bad.
Skill Explanations
Pretty good. You explain what each skill is used for, and why you level it up. But the explanation for why you level aimed strike over
Guiding/Gameplay
Gank combo, that's it. Pretty bad, nothing on creep clears or counterjungling or contesting camps. Or a general counters section.
Details
Beautiful BBC coding, but judging by the sheer amount of chapters and the lack of useful content, I think you can be more concise.
Summary
This guide is lacking solid fundamentals, such as gameplay or a well-explained build, so I must downvote.
As far as making a "perfect guide" is going, you are far off.
This is what you have:
Intro saying that you will teach us a little bit about Loki
About Loki: ...There is nothing here.
About Me: Why do you have a section on your face? Put that goodness in the intro or something.
THOU HAST INFORMATION IN THE LEAST! You should be giving your take on the abilities, explaining why you picked the items you chose (which I question your use of [[Fatalis] so please do that), and give an ACTUAL gameplay section. Aside from that, add pictures, BB coding, color, and give as many tips to new users of Loki as possible.
'Twill not downvote as was requested, but I 'twill certainly receivith an upvote not.
JararoNatsu,
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I definitely need some constructive criticism as this is my first guide ever. I do plan on constantly updating it and making it better regarding content as well as appearance.
I will try to incorporate all they suggestions you gave me into the guide. Once again, I really appreciate you taking the time to help me with my guide! :)
