Firstly the goal to mid is not losing it, because if you do, then you will most likely lose the match, from feeding the opponent aswell as letting the whole other team gain atleast 300gold due to the towers being destroyed knowing this, is the first step to owning mid lane. cupid is very OP (over powered) because of how simple he is to use or maybe its just me, i have seen some pretty bad cupid players in my time of playing and in my opinion cupid can own any caster that is in mid lane except for when you are against an AO Kuang having the abilty to take out waves of minions with just just one tornado. although there are others that can do this, in my experience AO Kuang has been the most difficult to reach as well as kill with out having all the minions target yourself, and sometimes the occasional anhur.
okay there are alot of different uses for the abilities i have found when using cupid,
firstly his first skill is his passive.
Lovestruck--
on every basic attack with cupids bow gives him a 3% damage buff to his next heart bomb or fields of love skills, also when you reach 10 stacks your next heart bomb or fields of love also stuns the enemy when they explode.
note: I would always get this to 10 stacks early game.
Heart bomb--
when the enemy is hit with this skill they are slowed by 35% and after 3s they explode dealing the same amount of damage when they were hit with as well as when they explode. (adding a stun if possible)
note: you can used this in many ways (only 2 ways i have found XD) if you have awful aim then you can hit a minion with this skill to get a stun or half damage than what you would when directly hitting them, and can be used a deadly combo with fields of love which i will explain in the next part. also you can hit the enemy with this and if you know definetly that they will die on the explosion you can ignore them and turn to other enemy gods or minions.
flutter--
cupid dashes in the desired direction leaving a trail behind him increasing all allies movement speed by 35% cupid also gains 4/8/12/16/20% sttack speed for 4s after fluttering.
note: you can use this to escape or for surprise attacks, for escaping, you can use it escape many CCs like hades ultimate, or if you are getting chased by a ares which its pretty obvious he wants to ultimate you then you can just flutter away, and if you got hit by his ultimate then when you recover or survive his ultimate and what ever comes after, flutter away quickly. for surprise attacks i mean, when your in middle lane and the enemy has low health, pretend your ignoring them while hitting minions, then flutter over, then do a quick heart bomb, and you better hope you hit them. I also use this skill when im soloing the fire giant, when entering the area where the fire giant is do a flutter going towards him which will leave you behind the fire giant, giving you easy hits on the fire giant and also looking at the entrance to see incoming enemies.
Fields of love--
an AOE skill (area of effect) slowing all enimies in the ground target location by 35% when the hearts ecplode all enemies take massive damage and get mesmerized for 3s (+1 second if 10 stacks) and attacking the mesmerized enemies will break the stun.
note: this is a great combo with heart bomb dealing massive damage and long stuns to get alot of basic hits in, i have killed many players 1 versus 1 this way, and also from just killing them from using heart bomb early game, dont be afraid to chase after foes if they have low health and you think you can get a heart bomb on to them, but, be cautios not to stray to far into the towers radius, stay near the edge for easy escapes from the tower if needed.
well im sure alot of you are asking me why i didnt include "share the love" its because i do not use it, and im sure alot of you are thinking im a "noob" right now, and may also start harrasing me to force me to "uninstall" the game, but, i dont use "share the love" because its so useless, in my opinion of course, i have killed over 10-25 players in every game and died atleast 1-3 times before the game ends with my side winning and without using the skill at all, i may use it post game incase a team member is low HP (health points), but at that point they are already recalling anyway. not allocating skills points to "share the love" leaves room for a maxed out "heart bomb" near early game for nice damage to take out foes easily. i have been yeeled at because i had not thrown any hearts team fights, but even if i had 1 heart does not restore enough HP to survive another hit, so its pretty pointless to even think about it.
meditation--
is a good ability to use to sustain your mana, using this in team fights when your low on mana will allow you to quickly use your skills again, for a easy get away, or to attack enemy players, how ever you use it is up to you, but its a great abiltiy when you are mid and your low on mana and the enemy is taking the lead in the lane.
heartseeker--
this is a difficult item, i have heard another user on this website reference it as a "snowball" item which means you gain alot of stats for one stack, but also loose it all when you die, much like a snowball rolling down a snowy hill i suppose, but if you can sustain these stacks, replacing it instead of a "qins blades" or "brawlers beat stick" and placing it as a 1st or 2nd item, you can really deal some massive holes into the enemy, i dont recommend it if you are a begginner, but if you know how to stay alive with cupid aswell as keep a lane with its a great item to own some player, but i do not use it my build when im using cupid because i already get the damage i need to overwhelm the enemy as well as i would also die atleast 3 times per game...but there are times when i do not die, but you cannot predict when this happens so i stay safe.
healing potion
this is a useful item early game providing 250HP regeneration over a 25s duration, but appears to be useless post game, you can also use a mana potion, but i usaully buy 1 level in warriors tabi and then a meditation ability leaving me with 50 gold, or that is what i used to get left with, i think its like 150 gold i get left with now.
Ive been practicing with new builds, and found that this build was quite useful when i was going middle lane, i found that using a Heartseeker was useful provided you dont die alot, which i struggled to while fighting an anhur most game, which was a nightmare, but when i was encountering more squishier targets i was dominating, and they were crying for help, and eventually ended up with 3 anemies middle, which you dont really want, i dont really use the the Ankh of the Golem only unless theres a physical attacker middle.
as in the latest patch Ankh of the golem has been changed yet again, changing the life steal it once had to physical protection, which is slightly useful but make my guide that much more faulty, but i will not stop to use this build, but its probably for the best as when i was using this build i had been reported for being a hacker??? because my HP would go up, thats probably because they dont understand what life steal is (LOLZ).
well i suppose this is the end of my very first guide (in my life).
i thank the creators of this website for allowing me to provide my knowledge and also actually provide something to someone, on this site.
also, i do not take credit for the "snowball" comment more early in my guide, and i am ashamed to say i do not remember who said it, only that this person made a he bo guide,
And again, thank you

The items you use are ok, but its just there are better that will make you do more damage and kill them faster and easier while still being protected. Thats the only thing, better items.
Ankh is even better than it was before and a REALLY solid choice for cupid, unless they are stacked magic x4.
The guide itself needs major work tho in information, correct information, and being consistent.
The item build could be better. I would test out other things, ask around for builds and try them first.
no executioner, and brawlers beatstick is only needed against a healer, and even then not really, ank is OK i supose, but to many much more useful things you could buy. heartseeker for example, titans, devouerers gloves. also you show warr tabi in your build, then go on to say you get reinforced boots. which is it? guide is indecisive, and unclear. overall not a good guide.
cupid built for pure damage is the only way to go, you can easily get auto-attack crits for 1200++ with cupid. who needs to be defensive when you 2 - 4 shot everyone
