Introduction

Hey guys,

welcome to my first SMITE-guide.

This guide will show you an unusual build on mercury, jungling without many speed items.

The idea behind this mercury is to collect as many stacks as possible in the early game. The disadvantage in the early game is the missing boots, which can be compensated with mercurys abilities.

In the middle and in the late game you'll see, that his stacks will do a great job. Particularly in the late game, mercury got an outstanding selfheal, high crits and will get nearly undyable, if you know how to get out of situations in the right time.

On a level 30 account there was not one game, I've didn't got a good KPD with that build jungling.

Be clear, that you are building stacks in the early game, by clearing the jungle camps, helping lanes (solo lane minutes 1-4) and ganking gods (you should have 3-4 kills after max. 6 minutes).

I hope this guide will help you with mercury.

Best regards,

Pros / Cons

Pros:
-Early building of stacks
-Great mid- and lategame
-Good movement speed (boots + ability)
-Good crowd control
-Selfhealing in early game, nearly no drinks needed
-Selfhealing in lategame, no defensive items needed
-High critrate

Cons:
-There are better junglegods in the early game (Baka, Loki, Thor, Thana, Serqet, Fenrir, Arachne)
-The setup needs stackbuilding to work
-No protection-items
-Late boots

Creeping / Jungling

Start:

If the sololane is right, go with the sololaner to the speedbuff, than do blue with him. After that stay for a few minutes with him in the sololane, trying to catch the other jungler with "Special Delivery" and finish him with "Made You Look". Than start your jungle rotation.

If the sololane is left, start soloing the red buff, than do the blue buff with the sololaner. After that try to do the same as mentioned above.

Jungle rotation:

Small camps everytime it is possible, when no help needed in lanes. If you started left, do the red buff for the midlaner. If you started right do some lanehelping, after that do your speedbuff. Than do midcamps, when restarted. After that you should do some lanes again and do the solo-blue-buff after that again. Repeat.

Mid- and lategame jungling:

Ensure vision on goldfury and firegiant. Protect the team while they are doing one of both. Stay in your jungle, not much laning. Than gank out of the jungle and throw enemies into the teamfight.

Ranked Play

In ranked games you should stay a bit longer in the lanes (beginning solo, than rotate). If you play gold or higher you should ensure, that your team agreed your playstyle.

You need to know mercury very well, particularly when you have to go in and out of fights. Tripple, quadro and pentakills are possible in the lategame. In the early game focus on good ganks and stack building. Also on your jungle rotation, which should be obvious for a jungler.

The main reason to build items with movement speed on Mercury is to adhere to his passive, Fastest God Alive.

I would replace Devourer's Gauntlet with a different item. Also, Mercury is one of the few gods that do well with Golden Bow after Warrior Tabi. Or you could put in a magi's blessing, Witchblade, or Hastened Fatalis.
