Blink is really good for ult engagements, i'd buy it if my team is doing well as a secondary relic. Have fun and Good luck!
Take your pick, all options are good depending on your comp.
My go-to Xing Tian Build. Sell Shoes of Focus for Mantle of Discord.

Also I dont have the start listed on any of my guides, I guess I could add that, but its always the same Starter - Shoes - Chalice of Healing - Hand of the Gods
I typically would get regular wards early, and only start getting Sentries as objectives become more important. I know that counter-warding early can help with ganks and whatnot, but it's a decent amount of extra gold to lay down in the early stages when you're still really looking to get more items online.
But I guess that skipping chalice and just getting potions is also a functional start strat.
If I'm that low HP that I need sustain I just recall.
EmilZy is also back to playing and looks like he's sometimes doing that as well:
To me, it seems like there are 4 potentially viable starts depending on the situation...
But he used a potion at the camp to top himself off, as he took damage saving all 3 monsters for his ADC. So this still deviates from Amoral's reason for getting HoG.
Also I think the best start for pots would be Chalice of Healing and Hand of the Gods this lets you get to wave quicker, and you dont miss any minions vs having to auto the camp down and coming to lane missing a quarter of your hp.
Kriega already pointed out the Blink Rune which is a fantastic pick up on Xing, lv 1 or 12 your preference there I would do it first, just cause I want to fight all the time.
Kriega also pointed out the Breastplate of Valor I do not like this, or Genji's Guard on guardian supports. There is no value in getting these items when there are other cooldown items that are better, more suited for the role. For example Pridwen Spirit Robe Relic Dagger - Since we are playing Xing anyway Relic Dagger would be a good pick up.
I am not a fan of Void Stone right now either on support. We just do not have the room to give up for something like that. Honestly if you want to build a damage item, look more towards Spear of the Magus granted you will need to change up your build to make up for the protections you are losing. You can go like:
Sentinel's Embrace - Reinforced Shoes - Stone of Binding - Gauntlet of Thebes - Spear of the Magus - Pridwen // Sell boots for Mantle of Discord or you can keep boots and buy a Elixir of Defense
If you wanted to max your cooldowns because you're Xing, you can do:
Sentinel's Embrace - Shoes of Focus - Gauntlet of Thebes - Pridwen - Spirit Robe - Spear of the Magus // Sell boots for Mantle of Discord or you can keep boots and buy a Elixir of Defense - Either way you keep the 40% CD - and the cooldown items are really good for support. - plus you have the passive in Spear of the Magus You could also replace Spirit Robe with Relic Dagger and Spear of the Magus with a Oni Hunter's Garb or Talisman of Energy
There are tons of ways to work in 40% cd without having to build the selfish solo lane cooldown items.
Your relic choices are fine, I would start with Blink Rune and if they have an AA jungler ill buy Magic Shell second active, if they do not I am buying Sundering Spear - there is nothing wrong with Heavenly Wings or Horrific Emblem these are fine actives, I just find that right now there is a lot of value in Sundering Spear, and Blink Rune is almost a must have.
Sundering Spear is not a troll relic at all, you just dont understand how to properly use it, and thats fine! Im all for supps grabbing Magic Shell and Blink Rune or another team fight active. However Sundering Spear is getting a lot of value in Season 8.
Genji's Guard no matter what is always bad though, Like my examples above there are tons of other options more suited for support.
Spear of the Magus is arguably the best damage item for supports. Letting everyone do 7.5% more damage to the enemy is op, you are not buying this item for its power and such, you are buying it for the passive. Adding this passive, with a Sundering Spear everyone will just die.
Void Stone while not bad, is not good at all since we are keeping Starters right now, so you have less slots to work with.
I get that everyone has their own playstyle, but at some point you have to conform to the better choices if you are looking to improve. Adding personal play style guides, and such like that isnt good for new players who come here looking for builds. Every new player that comes to the site should be able to click on a guide and go this is the best for X thing. If you wanted to changed this guide into a joust/arena/slash guide that works as well since you can get away with basically any build there.
to conclude, i merely wanted everyone in the smite communities input so that i can make adjustments. I gave my reasons as to why i don't usually get HOG, I generally don't need it. like ive said, i will add it to the guide as my preferences do not matter but it will help others but i have been harassed for purchasing it in games so i wasnt 100% sure if i should add it or not but it looks like im being yelled at for not adding it :).
Not trying to take away from what Amoral is saying; he's right on multiple counts, with regard to best chance of success with a meta build style and considering various balanced aspects of a build. And things tend to get tighter at higher levels of play (where Amoral finds himself), where you want to give yourself as good a chance as possible for a win, which makes build efficiency and effectiveness even more important than normal. And SMITEFire as a group wants to try to promote the strongest builds possible, so that it becomes a more reliable place for newer players to quickly and easily find great builds to use, and guides to explain how to play those gods effectively.
But my suggestion to you is not to take this various feedback as people yelling at you. I didn't get that feeling from Amoral's response, and he's taken the time to explain many of his points and suggestions. I think when people take the time to discuss and explain, and when others take that into consideration, that's the best opportunity for learning and thinking about things in different ways than they might normally do.
You 100% have the right to promote your builds and to publish the ones you feel are best. You can take or leave the feedback provided. It'll be great if we can all get to a point where constructive criticism/feedback is readily given and accepted, even if not in agreement.
Reason why Pridwen is considered the better item compared to Breastplate of Valor late-game is because of the better utility from the shield and slow, along with balanced protections. BoV is only physical protection, which is fine of course (and it's higher phys prot), but the other big aspect is the mana pool...that's usually something very helpful early game when you can easily burn through your mana stores quickly and before you get other items with mana sustain. But in your example build, you have MP5 in Sentinel's Embrace, Contagion, and Genji's Guard before it, and honestly you'll never run out of mana if you just have the sustain from Genji's; you don't need the extra that BoV provides.
Thus, in agreement with Kriega on both counts...feel Blink should 100% be listed as an option, and feel that Pridwen is a better item choice in your example build for the added utility it brings. It's fine to still list BoV if you want as an option, but Prid in that example build would make the build stronger IMO.
