Hi everyone, I'm a casual player but I love getting into theory crafting and testing builds. I'm not going real in depth with this as a guide so don't expect much here. I noticed that there weren't any recent builds for Hun Batz so I thought I would make one.
Hun Batz excels at the ability/auto-attack combo. His passive Infused Strikes makes building Crit items early absolutely worth it.
My suggestion is to is to initiate with Sacred Monkey try to get it to bounce at a squishy target then teleport to them, follow up with an auto attack, then Overhand Smash and auto attack again. I like to save Somersault as an escape but if they got away and you aren't at risk or if Fear No Evil is up you can use it to chase, again follow up with an auto attack. I like to save Fear No Evil for group fights after a teamate has initiated or as a last resort emergency escape but you can use it on cooldown to ensure a kill. Its all really up to your play style.
(Pro Tip: To almost guarantee an auto attack hit after Overhand Smash and Somersault hold the auto attack button while in the air.)
As a side note, I'm not entirely sure if the 30% damage boost from Hydra's Lament is worth it. If anyone has more in-depth info on that calculation please comment. What I hope is that the crit bonus is applied to that 30% of basic attack damage somehow. What I fear is that it only adds 30% of your listed basic attack damage on the side as a separate source of damage unaffected by crits, which may still be worth it. I'm not sure. If there is a better item to use in its place feel free to explain why.
On that note if anyone has any suggestions, criticisms or if you just like the build, feel free to comment and rate the build how you will. I promise it wont hurt my feelings. And remember "Have Fun."
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

You do not need crit so early, and it is expensive as ****. 3200 for a second item when you can get something else is not a good idea.
Jotunn's Wrath should be necessary, not for when you are only fed, since Hun Batz, despite his passive crit, still needs abilities to do it.
Penetration should also always be necessary, as everyone in the game has defense.
Bloodforge also costs alot, and it is more of a late game item.
The crit can stay, but more for late game please, since the cost is way too high. Jotunn's Wrath can replace as second item, and CDR should be your number one priority. DO NOT forgot your passive requires your abilities, so CDR can help you there.
I say he is underrated because people simply don't talk about him much if at all and I rarely ever come across him while playing. He's also typically rated at A or A+ on most tier lists and personally I think he should be S easily. That said I meant this more for Joust as that is typically what I play the most.
So playing Joust its not as hard as you might think to wait till 3200 to buy your second item. Its really a matter of personal preference when and how big of a power spike you want. For example, lets say I spend the first 5-8 levels dealing steady pressure to the enemy team and they get bolder and bolder because they think I'm not doing that much damage. Then I back, pick up death bringer, gank the lane and crush the whole team for overextending. This is something that happens all the time for me.
Now I'll admit, I'm just a casual so the people I'm playing against are probably **** and this strategy may not work against better players. Honestly, I don't even use this build anymore I've tested out so many different options I'm not even sure what my exact build is currently (mostly just been playing Thor).
I do thank you for the constructive comment though and will consider your words moving forward.
