Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

Thats a buff...?
BREH
I don't wanna repeat myself to someone I repeated to on the official servers of smite. However anything that makes an item more favourable to get is considered a buff a cost reduction is part of it.
And bullfrog your math is off cause 2700g-2400g=300g
How did you try this build the other day?
These items are no longer in the game?
I actually wonder what goes on in your head these items are in the game whatever your saying is wrong so play the game again and tell me those items are there.
100g cheaper, not 300g

That is not quite correct.

However,
Ex :
Let say your basic attack does 100 damage.
If you hit a target with Aimed Strike rank 1, your basic attack will deal damage twice:
100 (white) + 60 (yellow).
If you hit a target from behind, your basic attack will deal damage once :
120 (white)
When you hit with a critical hit, only the white damage will get the 100% additional (or 140% with
So, if you hit a critical hit with that Aimed Strike, you will deal damage twice:
200 (white) + 60(yellow).
If you hit a critical hit from behind, you will deal damage once:
240 (white)
So, as you can see, the damage from behind you is applied before the crit % is added.
This also apply for
So, building crit on
However, the basic attack damage, compared to the damage of his abilites, is low.
Building crits on him would only benefit from his basic attacks.
In his usual combo, he can throw 2-3 basic attacks.
If you get a crit on those, it's worth it. But if you don't get a crit, it's not worth it.
So, with only 20% critical chance, it's probably not worth it.
With both
Getting 3 critical items would sacrifice too much in your build to worth it.
And if you get only 1 crit item, it's preferable to get
Simply cheaper by 300 gold now.

I would suggest
For a defensive item I would recommend the buffed
