You see. If you are managing your game very well, go offensive, if you don't, go defensive. If you reach the point of selling boots, take something adaptative depending on if you need antiheal or burst or tanking.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, take your Spear of the Magus. Your one deals ticks so it will give you insane early pen. Your combos are either 1 to debuff prots, 2 to root and then after the ennemy uses escape, use 3 to catch up and ult if there is an ally with you on this gank, either 2, then 3 and 1 for gods that have great mobility. After lvl 6, your 1 will be lvl3 so it's better to use 3 to depush so you can keep your 1 to burst someone that crosses you or your 2 to root them and run away or instead burst them while they're rooted. Still, you can 1 the buffs to speed rush them. Once you have your Polynomicon, it is better to use the combo 1, 2, auto, and 3, ult if necessary.
Remember to max your 1 to burst, then your 2 because it will touch more often than your 3 that you will use to catch up ennemies more than dealing damages. Use a point in your ult when you can because it will burst the sh*t out of the ennemy carries (in late game, nearly 1700 dmg) Also, use your 1 after ult if you have it because the secnd after ult, ennemies are still in mid-air and can't move.
To maintain your passive, you will need cooldown and spamming spells costs a LOT of mana so 2 mana pots again and normally, with 2 mana pots and 1 multi, you'll be able to stay in the jungle and lanes for long enough to buy directly Focus Boots. If you have enough, you better take a Chalice of Mana.
Xing Tian's passive gives HP5 up to 12 stacks of 3. This means you can easely reach 36 HP5 early while spamming spells on jungle camps and lanes or gods you encounter while ganking or defending after someone's death. Despite this high sustain, Xing Tian uses a LOT of mana, this why you will need 2 mana pots and only 1 multiple pot. Starting with your 2 will allow you to speed push your first yellow buff. Also, your 2 roots, which permits to avoid a buff steal from the ennemy solo laner. The magical focus is needed to have the best power in very early. Your 3 deals few damages but gives you mobility and by hitting a jungle buff 2 times with this spell, you will stack 6 times your passive, this is why you'll need to have it as second spell. Remember to avoid loosing your passiv's stacks, it is extremely important for sustain and remember you have no health pot, so this is your only sustain after using your multi pot. Finally, take your 1 at lvl3, it is Xing Tian's best damages SO max it after having it, also it deals damage on quite a good line range, meaning that using your 1 on a lane will also give you a lot of stacks.

I've never tried xing jg, but I already did a Xing damage.
For your start, I'd consider a Healing Potion instead of a Multi Potion.
I also think you should offer a the end a full build example.
For a full damage build I'd consider: Shoes of Focus, Bancroft's Talon, Spear of the Magus, Ethereal Staff, Gem of Isolation, Shaman's Ring and as boot replacement Chronos' Pendant.
For a hybrid build (bruiser), that would probably be the best choice for most matches, I'd go with: Shoes of Focus, Bancroft's Talon, Celestial Legion Helm, Void Stone, Spear of the Magus, Ethereal Staff and Mantle of Discord as boots replacement.
