Compassion, Gauntlet as well, are your primary source of Magic protections. This shouldn't scare a Xing Tian, as an item like Compassion grants a powerful aura effect and 45 HP5, the most HP5 on any item in the game.
What is most important on Xing Tian in regards to his abilities is constantly maintaining maximum stacks of Smouldering Rage. This increases Xing's HP5 by up to 36, at a max stack count of 12. In order to keep stacks, simply hit any ability on an enemy minion, jungle minion, or enemy God. Stacks last for 18 seconds and any successful ability resets this timer.
Leveling Sky Cutting Axe 1st does the most damage, as you get two jumps from this ability. It also allows you to engage and disengage far more freely than if you were to take Furious Roar over this at lvl 1.
Lvl 2 is Hook Slam. Xing is phenomenal at pressuring the duo lane with unpredictable and erratic movements, and lengthy stuns to allow your fellow ADC to shine like the hero they are.
Furious Roar is a very powerful attack and debuff when leveled up. It is also Xing Tian's only ranged attack. I find it worth prioritizing later as movement saves your life more than a minor dmg debuff in the early laning phase.
Level the ultimate whenever you get the chance and try to keep each skill about equally leveled. Anything Xing hits has the capacity to get impactful kills.

Gauntlet is an undisputed heavyweight champion when it comes to the support labe. A total of 55 of each prot, 10 of that just being an aura all allies get when near you, is pretty amazing.
At first glance, Mail of Renewal may not seem great. But with Xing, he doesn't care that he doesn't have absolutely every prot, because he just keeps pressing forward, healing and dueling in the Frontline. Mail of Renewal can heal him up to nearly 500 HP when it procs in this build
Passive healing is a great thing to have, no matter what game it is. But when you're the passive healing dude, you just need a big health bar and tons of sustain that nobody can take from you.
Glad Shield does provide additional damage that helps you make meaningful exchanges with enemy squishies, and force them to respect that you can hit just as hard as you get hit.
In 11.7, lifesteal is incredibly potential and prevalent. This final item can of course be traded with Pestilence if the enemy team happens to have 4 magic users or something like that. The main thing is a healing reduction, and annoying effect that process all the time, and of course, HP5. Pestilence also has HP5 on it, but you do lose roughly 10 HP5 by using Pestilence. In games where you play against 4 Physical, it really takes way too much to kill you. Getting Elixir of Defence maxes physical defense for this build and makes you much better at tanking Magic? Hi, Dawg here. I only started playing Smite a few months ago, but I've found Support to be my favorite role, and Xing Tian, the embodiment of everything a tank should be.
This guy, when built correctly, can absolutely soak up any and all damage coming his way. The big reason for this is his passive, Smoldering Rage.
Shouldering Rage has a max of 12 stacks, each stack granting Xing a temporary boost to his HP5 and hit point maximum.
To a keen eyed viewer, one may realize that this build uses 3 items from the Gauntlet of Thebes tree. This is my way to play Xing, and to me, it feels amazing.
Xing has an uncapped HP5, all thanks to his passive ability. The limit to HP5 is 100. With my build, before fire giant buff and health buff, at 20th lvl, the Xing player should be regenning roughly 136 HP5, increasing up to 172 HP5 with max stacks of Smouldering Rage.
Adding a Fire Giant buff and/or health buff(green totem health buff at 20th lvl hits just under 4900.
With the current meta of the game, where tankiness was traded for damage and other conveniences, Xing Tian stays relentless, annoying, and incredibly fun to play well and properly.
Sky Cutting Axe temporarily increases protections(albeit a very short window), and has the ability to completely dodge many attacks entirely.
This build favors running into teams with many characters that rely on Auto Attacks as their primary damage source, at least from hunters. This build prioritizes physical defenses, to survive jungle ganks and still be in the fight. Of course, if an enemy team has 3 mages, change the Glad Shield or Contagion for more magic prots and security.
A good Xing should always be looking to heal, peel, and take a death here and there for the team. But, by exploiting the uncapped hp5 clause in Xing's passive, he becomes very hard to kill, and the longer he sticks around, the more problematic he becomes, even if he is out of mana and on the backfoot trying to escape.
Major thing to note. This build does NOT have a lot of Magical Defense. It prioritizes Physical Defense and puts all of its chips in the HP5 basket. Every item on this list gives Xing HP5, and he gets the best utility from this statistic. So, for mages who sling nukes and situations against many opponents, Xing relies on force of will And a powerful passive to brush off even what he's not fully prepared to take. As in 5 seconds, it's likely he's regained that health back.
A key to playing Xing well is knowing when to pressure people. You can be extremely aggressive with Xing, and usually get away with few consequences. And I play support to annoy the enemy team truthfully. Xing is great at being bait and forcing opponents to make foolish tower dives, as you can heal outside of their lethal ranges and die to their own greed. Give this God a try, if you're like me he'll become your favorite tank for his ability to harass and pressure lane,
With this build in particular, every single item that gets built has a + to HP5. Xing Tian players should realize that their character rewards fearless players for doing insane job

Thanks for contributing! If I were to suggest anything with regard to the builder, keep in mind that you can choose NOT to click the check box for full build / starter etc. If and when you do, it's featured at the very top of the page with priority over any others, the skill leveling section, etc.
You can put multiple builds in this...either in the same page, or on a different tab. Let me know if you have any questions on this.
