Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

As far as the supports go Terra, Sylv, Ganesha are all very easy to get down. Faf and Artio require a bit more skill/combo knowledge to get the most out of your kit
Artio seems really easy, dash in deal some damage, stun maybe, turn and do the cripple and do the suck thingy for stun hopefully and the magic punch. Then bear again and repeat :p
It just feels like mashing buttons without needing to really think at all or aim anyting really.
But haven't really played her since she got released so my only experience with her is playing against her. And thos ppl might just play her terribly bad, although she is anoying to play against.
While I do agree that Terra's kit is easy to use, it's not so easy to use well. Sure you can pop off walls everywhere and knock 'em down, but if you're not placing them properly, then you're pretty much a non-issue. That Terra I mentioned in my post below went 1/1/x (I forget how many assists they got, but it was more by being there than actually assisting.) A good Terra would have been a larger force on the battlefield.
Ganesha right now is meta in almost every game, but some people don't realize why this is. His silence is about 2-3 seconds long, and can be focused to 1-3 people at a time, and moves around. Think of the shutdown potential with something like that: a mobile CC. His ult has two major uses: teamfighting and blocking off pathways. In a fight, put in the center of everything and just watch the numbers roll in, due to its protection debuff and slow. The damage around it, while small, is very off putting and forces enemies to find a new route, which can stop chasers.
Fafnir is all about the prolonging everything and being greedy (get it?). You pop that dragon form, and you are obligated to do something with it. Hit a stun right here, another stun there, a quick team attack speed buff and boom, their T2 tower is down. That's the main thing about playing him is that he's not a usual support. You have to get in the carry mindset and just ignore your teammates in your ult and start racking up damage numbers.
Terra has been really underappreacited lately, ever since she lost her root. Don't forget that her ultimate 1. Takes away ALL mana costs, meaning low mana resources doesnt matter. 2. Reduces all cooldowns, meaning more spammability. 3. Increases movement speed, meaning chasing and rotation/gank potential. 4. Heals upon taking damage, which can save lives and prolong fights just so everyone can either make it out alive or with some kills. Paired up with her out of combat heal and/or AoE slow, and you are supporting literally everyone on your team at the same time, at all times.
Sylvanus in season 5 is being picked back up because his splash damage autos are no joke early game. This new Hunter's Blessing, and he's soloing like crazy. The flowers under tower for the ADC to stay in lane more, while also rooting to setup for a solo kill or gank, very potent. His whole kit just screams lane dominance. That's not even talking about his single person stun, which can take out either the damage sponge or damage spout of a team.
All of the above supports are great in the current meta, just find the one that suits your playstyle, most likely Fafnir.
Really enjoyed Fafnir when I played him like a year ago, and yes he suits my playstyle pretty well. With ulting then just going ham for a while forcing some stuff and just roling my face on the keyboard:p
I like Ganeshas kit as well especially the ult for objectives etc. And that dash -> uhhhm lockdown is disgusting.
Think it will be sylv mainly and some Ganesha and Fafnir on the side :p
I just have to buy the right blessing, bought assassin's on autopilot the other day as Sylv. That was not as fun as Hunter's haha
So far it's looking like:
Nemesis always enjoyed her tbh.
Serqet, I guess she is to good to not learn how to play properly. 😪
Sylvanus, Hunter's Blessing all the way (at least until I get into some half decent games.
Ganesha seems fun, but how do I carry if I cant KS? 😣
Probs going to throw in some Ratatoskr as well, because I've wanted to learn him properly for a long time now.
Sylvanus, Hunter's Blessing all the way (at least until I get into some half decent games.
You're kidding, right?
The pressure you get from clearing the lane super fast lets you invade purple and red super easy (you also clear the camps super fast). So the gold loss from not having Guardian's Blessing does not matter that much. Because the enemy support should end up super far behind because of your pressure.
But when you get into games where ppl actually know how to play (diamond-masters) then you are better off with the Guardian's Blessing because it gives you more in the long run.
You need to take advantage of the pressure though and be ready to be ganked..
But Boogie, for some reason, likes to say that I'm a "master" with all the gods. And then he'll go "but I AM telling the truth. You have all gods at least at Mastery I." SMH

Classic bait to catch the Branfish. You fell for it hook, line, AND sinker.
Gotta catch them all ^_<
For Supports, Sylvanus is a really good god to have in your sleeve, he's pretty good all around and his playlist is really different, which is enjoyable. Then, Ganesha is pretty good. I personally dislike Fafnir a lot, but he's strong. Terra and Artio are REALLY fun but their numbers are just... sad
Both of them used to have insane dammage and CC, now they just have somewhat insane CC so yeh
Serqet and Nemesis allow you to cover both roles.
After that i'd do the assassins in the following order: Ratatoskr, Da Ji, Susano, Awilix, Camazotz
Supports: Ganesha, Fafnir, Sylvanus, Terra, Artio
I have Artio last cause she tends to do better in solo while the others are primarily supports. She can be really easy to punish from support if you end up behind early on.
Nemesis can be very strong when used correctly (as I'm sure you know), and a skilled Awilix player can wreak havoc all over the map.
As for the supports, Ganesha and Sylvanus are really good when you land their skill shots, and for Ganesha, utilize his ult correctly. Fafnir, in my experience, can be strong if you have a knowledgeable ADC who can play with you correctly. In casuals, teammates don't always take advantage of his Coerce boost and the disarm from Underhanded Tactics effectively.
You already know Sylvanus pretty well from the match I saw...I'd say Ganesha and Terra probably for Supports. Ganesha seems like he's had a great overall balance almost since his introduction, and so you shouldn't see a whole lot of changes to him over the course of the season. As for Terra, you have access to that great Terra guide from NKE07 with tons of info to help you get very familiar with her.
I know how to play Sylvanus and all the other gods for that matter. But I most definitely have not mastered the arts of Sylvanus (get it Bob Ross?).
But Terra also seems fun, so probs going for her and Sylvanus.
And she seems boring to me anyways (got 37 games on her).
And 41 on Sylvanus in chase you where wondering :p
And 248 on Neith haha
