The new level up rewards are adequate; I love the free voice pack (used it for Skadi for that ski patrol skin) and the 50% skin discount coupon was well used for Elite Agent [[Apollo]. Getting the Lore Lady announcer was the icing on top of the (Never)cake.
The new gods and the changes to the items are definitely interesting; the change to The Crusher making it a good complement to ability-based assassins and warriors, the new ring for mages that complements basic attacks that stacks, the reworked Soul Eater giving lifesteal from abilities, and many more.
The newer gods (guardians especially) are especially exciting; Artio and Cerberus has been great fun, and building full-on damage builds for them in arena has been a lot of fun!
New warriors in Achilles and Guan Yu are also a lot of fun; though i find Achilles a bit boring and vanilla, too similar to Nike who was released earlier. Guan Yu's rework is exciting, though, because at long last, his passive is no longer an extension of his skill 1.
Let's see if i can keep invested in the forums again, this time. Hi to new faces, and hi again to everyone.
I play at around 10:00pm JST, maybe earlier in the day if it's weekends or free days.
Glad that you're enjoying some of these additions and changes. I've generally liked the direction items have been adjusted lately.
Achilles doesn't really feel like Nike to me. He doesn't have that amazing tankiness that she has (especially with her ult), and I like her cleave basics.
He feels much more mobile than she does, especially with his Combat Dodge. The biggest thing I don't really like is his execution ult. Not sure how I'd rework it if it was my decision, but that part really feels like an afterthought.
The thing about Achilles and Nike is that their kits feel same-y, with any large differences stemming only to accommodate their different playstyles.
Passive: A flat stat buff/increment, Achilles' is interchangeable while Nike's affect the whole team.
Skill 1: Main damage dealing skill with a conditional cc attached
Skill 2: Buffs and extra effects for the abilities
Skill 3: Mobility skill.
Skill 4 is pretty much different, but i'd agree that giving him a simple dash-execute is a bit of a cop-out (not that there's much you can work with Achilles, anyways).
I don't know, i've been playing more Heroes of the Storm than Smite recently, and one of the things that Heroes of the Storm does better compared to Smite is how unique and diverse their heroes are. Smite doesn't feel that way.
Also I thought I was the only one that thinks Achilles is so boring to play. He is too easy and is (was) too OP so there isn't fun, You just do almost what you want.
