Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
SMITEFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new god, or fine tune your favorite SMITE gods’s build and strategy.

Yeah. I usually run with those, depending on the character I am using and the opposing team. I have also started running spirit robe and magi's cloak with really heavy cc teams like if they have a Khumba and a baron.
edit: oops, I answered your other post here. lol.

And although brain-dead applies to some, I'd say in general it's more tunnel vision/blinders. People just get it into their head that it's a fight, and they need to be fighting. When I'm playing with Silent, I'm noticing mass chaos (pee-wee soccer), and I'm immediately stepping back more, because going in with teammates that aren't aware that no one's with them, or they're outnumbered, is a death sentence. This isn't Silent, as I've seen some definite improvement along those lines, but the rest of the teammates...

Thanks. I have been trying. It is just frustrating because I really enjoy arena for the most part. I have sacrificed my own stats time and again trying to help out hopeless players and situations. I don't know, maybe the hope has been that in some of these situations that some consistency and even repeatedly picking good spots to jump in would facilitate my team seeing good spots to jump in. There have been times that I have gotten so frustrated I would pay less attention to where my team wzs at a point since it seemed hopeless doing anything. There are plenty of times I know I come off as a ****py player because of my stubbornness in trying to get my teams to work together.
2 of my 3 arena matches with Odin this morning(on my main account after getting him to mastery 2 or 3 on my secondary) were with groups like the ones i am talking about. The first group seemed to get its act together after i told them they were tanking for themselves after i got 3 deaths reasonably initiating combat and i was going to pick my own spots. I ended up going 4/5/28. We still lost but they did work together a lot better shortly after that and i did end up acting more like a regular tank. Another match the same situation i got 3 quick deaths again, two of them after the Zeus announced ultimate ready and i did right after and when i initiated i was left out to dry and ended up 3/7/16. I made a similar declaration to that party as in the first but they kept doing what they were doing. Shortly before i built up my comfort level with Odin, I decided that I would just do a full regular build rather than the blink/ult builds because i noticed a steep dropoff in my performance which seemed to be from needing the extra defense/health due to this very issue.
Don't get me wrong, I do still at times have issues with aggresiveness. I am at times still guilty of the not seeing my team with me, but usually they HAD been with me within the last few seconds before I attack. That is kind of one of those fine line things you have to manage as a tank and matches are so vastly different from one to the next that can be hard to manage at times when you don't realize you don't have support until too late. I think that over the long term approaching it like i started to today will be how i need to go in those situations and just train myself to be more cautious in those matches unless my teams get their heads out of their butts.
I am close to level 30 on my secondary account, so as Kriega had suggested, I will probably jump into ranked joust there soon enough and that will give me a diversion for when i get too many of those kinds of matches in Arena. One of the frustrating things about it is that there are plenty of players even in the 30ish level range that seem to be pretty close in skill to a lot of the players around the 80-100 range like i play against on my regular account but on both accounts there are so many people that are still so clueless after how long it takes to get to the level i am at.
