Advice, and a farewell

First things first: I am not leaving this site because I don't like it; I simply have no more ties to it anymore - I don't play SMITE anymore, and the only active person in the community I had ties to was SubZero008, who is now permabanned.

Now, I must ask Mowen to not delete this blog post; I mean well with this, and mean everything I say.

Bad stuff first: I am Anonymous User2, who posted a large PM dump between me and Sub, heavily redacted, in the thoughts that people might be able to infer something about it. If you are interested, the following spoiler will have the non-edited, non-redacted (except for profanity) dump.

Now to the good stuff: as you may have already guessed by the title, I want to give advice to you guys, both individualized and general. If you are not listed, I have nothing for you, either because there's nothing I feel is needed to point out or lack of information.

Raventhor: Don't be afraid to speak what you truly think; however, be acceptant of other people's opinions. I tell you this because you sometimes post where I wonder if you actually mean what you said.

TT: Know when humor is acceptable. you sometimes joke around at the wrong time and/or in the wrong place.

ICEN: Keep on truckin'. I've always thought of myself as the first person to not blow you off as a spammer. My advice to Raventhor also applies to you.

Ferrumslash: There is such a thing as too many waifus.

Pentargonite: Keep a nice disposition, and try to keep your posts clear of ominous overtones.

Mowen: Saving you for last. you have done a lot of good things, but you have also done some bad things, and a lot of things where you could have done better; I'm talking more about administration than actions. First off, while it's 100% okay to have promoted users do some - a lot - of the work (they need SOME way to earn/keep the title), don't make them do almost all of it, unless they want to. If you really don't have the time, find someone to take your place here, who has the time. Second, while I see where you're coming from when you didn't make Dawnfire, you could have still had a slightly different URL. And third, ask for the community's opinion before doing something big. (Keep in mind that everything I said is meant to help you - I am not attempting to burn or in any way insult you. If it sounds like I did, I am sorry.)

And now I shall take my leave. If I ever get into SMITE again, I shall come back. If you want to contact me (or Sub, for that matter), you can find me on http://www.smogon.com/forums/, under the proper spelling of my name, Talenheim.
