I wanted to throw out a few ideas to the community to ask if they are viable, in your opinions.
  • Guan support
  • Nu Wa jungle
  • Aphrodite support
  • Bakasura solo
  • Freya/Physical support Duo
  • Hades mid

Basically, yes to all, but they're gimmicky in a few cases.
Guan Support is the least viable. He has sustain, but worse than Chang'E or Aphro or Ra support. He has no CC outside ult, so they are ruined pre-5. And his harass is nice, but can't usually seal the deal or provide ENOUGH on a support salary.

Nu Wa jungle, as shown by your guide, is viable :)

Aphro is the 'classic' idea of a support. Never have to leave lane = more exp = advantage.

Bakasura solo was actually showcased by DMBrandon and Zurpleperg, and both did VERY well. You can't sustain or survive against a Baka, who can feast for health, and empower for true damage that eats through defenses.

Freya/Physical duo is an untraditional bully lane. Most bully lanes are duo-bruiser, but Freya and a Physical would work just as well, and has been a previous meta pick. Her downside, now, is pretty bad early scaling, and as always, no escape. Plus, if they don't get kills and get ahead, they suffer horribly from (most likely) lack of CC. But if she gets fed, she gets out of control.

Finally, Hades Mid is my favorite. There's a match of the day that has Hel, Hades, and Anubis, and back when I first played, I decided to go full magic power hades. He is a monster. He has the most mobility of any mage, even more than Agni. While he's slower, he CAN go under walls, where agni cannot. He has a near guaranteed ult, that has damage reduction and CC immunity, for a LOT of damage. It's one of THEE highest scaling ults in the entire game. He's a bully with his fear, and even without the fear, a silence ruins a mage. He's a monster. His weakness is Chronos, Agni, and Freya. Chronos and Freya can both ult out of Hades's ult, and are AA based to counter the silence. Agni has a VERY quick dash out of the ult, and then turns to spam his in return, plus his base spells are better.

But all in all, all work.

Hades having trouble to agni......lel

As a god rank 10 hades who mids solo's and even 1v2 duo lanes when his team lets him, I am dissapointed know one has acknowledged this sooner.... you don't know how many games i have carried with hades almost unchallenged, also I would like to add that posiden vs hades is like a 8-2 match up in hades favor (so long as u guys believe me) I've fought enough posidens that their is literally no option for him, everything is punishable, I win in every exchange, and know tactic posiden uses will work, unless it it ofcourse a gank, in which case even then I have rarely died to ganks as hades. It bothers me everytime someone says "Hades mid(or solo) gg surrender at 10, and then I procede to carry the game, win the match while ganking for that person because they can't hold a lane -_-

In any case, this is interesting post, baka solo is soooo cool, ive been looking for an excuse to use him =P

as for "bully lanes" I love bully lanes, my friend and I go with what we call the "Valhalla Bros" comp, which is me as odin and him as tyr, literally carries with escapes are killed through before being aloud to escape, its pretty real. so far we havn't lost a lane yet with it and we have been doing it for about a month now, pretty fun.

My friend also recently started doing Hel and ares duo (looking for a way to fit ares in) so far its pretty nice, but we need to work on it ALOT more.

Baka is actually super strong nowadays with Qin's Sais being a thing. He ults, uses his 3, cones the enemies, and racks up on the sais damage. It's unreal. He's good in the jungle, too, since hastened fatalis gives him new stick power to actually have good ganks.

Never underestimate the baka.

And somehow, despite you maining a tank, I'm not surprised you've played a hefty amount of Mid hades. It's so much fun :P

I think sais is OP and because of it, it makes more people viable, or at least decent.

I never said it was. (Huehuehue Kali...)

Also, isn't Aphrodite intended as a support?

Intended, yeah. But the current meta nearly forces a bruiser or tank as a support to tank shots and have decent CC, while Aphro is basically a support mage.

It's as if in LoL, only alistar, thresh, leona, etc were the meta. You could choose Nami, sure, and the sustain+stun is nice, but with a tank meta, they can hard engage on you like crazy.

It's just about a perspective switch. I've seen her work very well, but currently she's forced into mid lane IF you're going to follow the meta.
