I have an idea for an informal tournament.

It follows the standard 1v1 rules in Dawngate's Best Shaper World.

One vs One in Joust, no jungling allowed.

First to 100 CS (100 last hits), a tower kill, or a player kill wins.

Of course, these rules might need some adjustment, and we still have to pick the god in question, but what do you think?

The normal joust tournament rules are:

2 kills or a tower kill wins the game

I think those are pretty decent. But adding like a first to x gold wins as well would be kind of fun. Would have to be high enough for it not to be enough to get first blood then just turtle the rest of the game though.

Sounds legit but unfortunately, there is no creep score in Smite. So pretty much the same w/o the 100 last hits and maybe something added in from BME's input.

Why not make it first to a certain level?

Farming in general is too safe.

Last hits give bonus gold, but the same amount of XP, I think?

So the safest, and more efficient strat would end up on whole wave clears faster/safer/sustainably. Not fun.

I think Best Ravana World would be fun.

(there should be though it helps you comparing your skill at last hitting)

I haven't played in a while so I am not sure what Ravana is like, is his clear bad? Also, is the farm in Dawngate like that of League of Legends where instead of clearing as fast as possible you generally only last hit?

I think it would be fun if there was some way to slow the game pace down so XP/Gold spooling was more like LoL/Dawngate, making the laning game a tad more drawn-out but also a more high risk high reward situation, because minions would still be damaging due to slower level up.

Yes, DG had that kind of stategic farm where pushing hard, while a valid tactic, would only get you brutally murdered in the majority cases.

But 1v1 is a special case, as you aren't likely to get pulled into tower, or ganked by a nonexistent jungler. Rather, Creep Score in 1v1 is a measure of precision and timing, balanced against avoiding enemy harass, avoiding unfavorable trades, and generally outplaying the enemy.

Say two balloons are floating up. One can only move left to right - the one that tracks and rewards CS lets you move forward and backwards, as well. It's another layer into the game.

I'd love it if Smite had some kind of customizable format, like Dota 2's. You could do exactly that - slow the game pace down, add new mechanics entirely, raise the level cap, create custom abilities and items, etc etc.

wow it's an angry toast (wb what have you been doing lately)

and yes I believe smite is the only one that gives you gold even if you miss a last hit without a support item (not talking about GPS here). that makes the difference of missing a LH less bad as the difference is 6 for archer and 8 for melee (both). Making missing a LH not that big of a deal as in most other moba's
(in dota the gold difference of missing the LH is ~50 (and when you deny a creep you also remove 50% of the exp it gives. still you need to be able to keep the creep equilibrium in your favor or risk getting brutally murdered)
(In Lol it's ~15 depending on the creeps and game time (dota spawns more creeps after a while)

Its too bad there is no way to fiddle with any of those core game mechanic settings.
