Lifesteal gives sustain, but the only time I've noticed it do enough healing to matter in a battle was in the unlimited money MOTD's where everyone was on steroids.

When you're 1v1 (especially as an assassin like Kali or Mercury) you notice it a lot. Also when you play Anubis with Bancroft's Talon.

You will notice it on hunters (with dev gloves and a good aa you can kill the gold fury without losing health)

I don't mean against the gold fury. I mean against actual players, especially hunters with their full power builds. Will it make the difference between getting 2-3 shotted to geting 3-4 shotted. It needs to heal enough to make a difference in at least 1 hit. Anubis is the only one I've really noticed a difference on and that's only because his passive gives him increased lifesteal.

Definately. Say you're Apollo vs Neith. When you crit for example, you get huge amounts of health back. Or you're in a teamfight, and you're low you can just attack minions for health.
But in PvP 1v1 it definately makes a difference.

Lifesteal doesn't do much. I play hunters without lifesteal sometimes, and the only reason to use lifesteal is for doing things OUTSIDE of teamfights. Like dueling, taking map objectives, or in-lane sustain. It's nearly worthless in a teamfight, I don't care who tells you what else. When you can die in a literal second, any life you can regen is worthless.

These points are the main points for life steal. in teamfights you can maybe survive some seconds more but that's it

Hunters are very annoying with life steal and attack speed combo. I was playing ares (level 20, so ares is quite powerful at this point) and attack an apollo. I could not even get close to kill him, from range as long as your accurate you can dominate with life steal, wouldn't say that warriors could pull it off but an add with life steal make you ever independent

Life steal works great for hunters in 1v1 situations. Could definitely give that hunter the edge to win that fight. However, as Sub said, it's not too great in team fights because of how hard you'll likely get focused anyway. If you're at a point where you need to life steal, you're probably just going to be an easy/weak target for the enemy to all jump on. When I play a hunter, I usually don't focus on getting life steal items, other than sometimes Asi for the attack speed.
